Cliff (or anyone else)

When reinstalling PIP (as on a new computer or HDD) is there any way to recover or import the history data from a previous installation, assuming the files are still accessible?
I tried copying the history.dat and profile.dat files over but it didn't work. (Ver 1.0.0.7 to 1.0.0.8 is handled differently?)

Assuming that's possible, is there any way to combine those "histories"?
I've got three different installations I'd like to combine.

TIA!

I actually manually entered the data string in the history.dat file with a jpeg that I did not upload and the thumbnail appeared in the history window. I would say the history file is the only thing you would need and to combine the files, you should be able to copy and paste the text from the old history files to just the current history data file. Just open it with notepad.

I copy the PIP folder from Program Files....then install over top of it. That keeps my history, and I don't even have to re-enter the profile. I suspect I may not even have to install over it, but it is so quick to do that I haven't tested not doing it.

Got it!
I thought there was something different between 1.0.0.7 and 1.0.0.8.
Turns out that my newest install just puts the history.dat file in my local user profile, instead of under program files.
Merged them together in notepad. Worked like a champ.

Thanks all!
