Haha as the big kid i am i think it is cool but over the top. I certainly would not want the formula one steering wheel. The light is in a stupid spot if it has to be there cut it in.

I have a confession i have a night rider light it is much better i think than his it cost me $35 including delivery 20 inches long it does flow properly I will likely use it for my brake light as already have a custom led set up planned for the front. I was going to mount it under the front but not sure how much i can get away hiding with what i will install. It can actually serve a purpose as a brake light so will likely set it up with a purpose. I am just about to respray my whole car in next few weeks so haven't actually put any of this on the car as yet.
hey all. Morning. i have been looking for a programmable horn for my Mera...and this voice activated system just may be the ticket. this way i can actually pick and choose the approiate response for the sitiuation. like "GET OUT OF MY LANE!!" or "NO!!! left turn lane merges are illegal".... no, seriously i just want like the OEM Ferrari horn (trumpets) and the horn from the Rolls Royce "golf cart" from the movie CaddyShack. ohh.... maybe the acceleration note from the Lambo in the first 15 sec. of CannonBall Run. Yes, i am an 80's geek. i am going to look in to this. thanks for the Thread Later Daniel

While some part of me thinks that this is pretty cool and he obviously did a lot of work to get it there, I just cannot seem to get past the fact that KITT was a Pontiac Firebird, not a fiero!! It could have been a little more of a better more smooth install of the front lights too.... I also wonder just what other things that it is programmed to say.... anyways, neato.....sorta......ummmm.......yeah!!

I never cared for Knight Rider. However I'm a Heinlein fan and there is a talking air car in The Number of the Beast. It wasn't intelligent (most of the time) and all of the voice was pre-programmed. I've thought it would be cool to do something along those lines...although I haven't because it would probably turn out like that video...

Hi all I own this fiero. I am interest in al your comments good or bad. The amber light was used to keep it street legal. The dash from marks is no longer made. In fact I did have the dash but didn’t use it because it left no room in the car. I have close to 5000 phrases that can be programmed. It was not started out to be K.I.T.T. but K.A.R.R Jr. It has both voices that can be programmed.
ohhh....K.A.R.R. -the evil twin......thats so cool. i was of age when that show was new so i loved it! that and the A-Team!!! the 80's rocked!! i was wondering about the programmable system you used? i am looking for a way to express myself in certain situations and/or for some cool horns like maybe a fake train horn, or semi truck, i have seen ones with animal sounds but they are not recordable?? would the system you used work in this way?? The program that I used is Microsoft voice and a program called Tazti. Tazti is easer to do than Microsoft voice. Tazti you can program thirty things at a time for it to do. Microsoft voice is unlimited. You can have either one programmed to do any thing, play your CD collection, open a web page, and play a movie and much more. I don't think it would work well as a horn. See you use a FM wireless transmitter running on the computer and it goes through the car stereo system. I do have a speaker under the front of the car that can be turned on and off. I ended up haven to ad a amplifier for an extra 15 db .
The Steering wheel is a blast to use, I also find it much easier to use than a round. If the weren’t so high in price I would put it on all my vehicles even my jeep Cherokee!

I odered it from Tiwan from Member idkitt-amanda. It was less than half the price I could get it here in the USA . I did have to drill all my own holes and get my own mounting hardware. I also made the front plate in the center of the wheel it makes it a lot easer to mount it.
Here is a stock photo

OH MY GOD WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY CAR? That was my car that I brought back from the dead painted myself and lovingly drove for two years before I moved . Here is what it used to look like.
IT started when i got it. The owner that I got it from you, that is if it was you that lived in Tulsa Oklahoma? Hit a raccoon and messed up the front bumper. In fact it has stayed in your name until I got it they never got the title put in their name. Boy that sure added up in fines

Sorry I went off, meant no disrepect, I was a little shocked. Like I said you made it your own like I made it my own. Yep that dash had lots of problems from the begining. It was one of the many things on my list, then I got a different job, and it would have cost more to ship it than I had in the car at that point, also it would have never passed emissions and I wanted a daily driver. Hey glad you had fun with it. It was a great car for me. Hopefully the next owner has as much fun as we did.
