X is being painted 2 tone, house of kolor tangelo pearl on the bottom, and black on the top. It was cleared with debeers clear, then sanded and topcoated with Alsa Corps Soft Touch Clear. Its like the coatings you have on your cell phone covers. It feels like velvet to the touch.

For what it does and what you're trying to accomplish, it seems like a fairly decent price. Not like its going to a bad cause

The paint scheme looks oddly familiar.

Just don't let your girl name it like I did. Mine is forever known as the gay orange Fiero.

Where did you find the spoiler on the rear deck? I've been hoping to find one like that that but the only ones I can find are from J.C. Whitney.

Its actually custom made. It started as a 3rd gen camaro spoiler and I cut it in half. It wasnt long enough and didnt quite have the right contour to fit the fiero decklid, so I put each half on each side of the deck. Then built the piece in the middle from fiberglass to match the 2 halves.

Oh and BTW my girlfriend wants me to bring to you guys attention that she did most of the prep work and sanding, painted all the black and did all of the orange base so far. She has done an excellent job so far and is actually really good at body work and paint. (I got her the job at the body shop, and with no experience is doing fantastic. She is very artistic.) And she will be in the Girls with Fieros gallery as soon as its done and we get some new pics.

Great looking paint job so far. Can't wait to see it when it's done.

As for the E85, Isn't E85 less power due to the higher alcohol content?

Indy Cars run 225+ MPH on E85. No reason a street car, that is set up properly, can't run just as well.

actually E85 will net more power than gasoline. This is because you have to add almost 40% more fuel at WOT to compensate for the alcohol. 1.4 gallons of E85 compared to 1 gallon of gasoline actually has more BTU's of heat energy. This will actually net about 5-8% more hp with no other mods taken into consideration. Now with the anti detonation properties of E85 I will be able to run more boost and more timing without having to worry about my engine getting knock. We are expecting somewhere in the range of 530-550 wheel hp.

Spraying the LSx?

Oh, and Ryan, good plan doing your paint work with "most" of the body on... i wish I had alot more on my car when I did mine... I disassembled WAY too much. The E85 + bigger turbo should help you net some much much faster trap times.... There is no reason your setup should not be in the mid to high 130 trap speeds.

Any chance it is happening this year?

We are taking it out to the 20th annual Pontiac uprising October 10th. High performance Pontiac mag will be there. We hope to go 9s, I'm thinking 135 mph possibly.

So a 1.5 60', 130mph, and you think you're going 9s? Ok, and my 5speed setup is running mid-10s next time out on an ALL-Season tire.

I said 135 mph but I was being modest. We will probably see closer to 138. And yes it will go 9's I've already gone 10.77 at 126 with a 30 mph headwind, on a masterpower turbo and 19 psi of boost. It's a whole new world with the new setup now.
