Title really says it all. Just got back home and got to ride in a bran new tow truck. The fiero was the first car it ever towed. So anyways I was goin down the road and went to pass a car and BOOM oil light turned on and it sounds like my engine in getting beat with a hammer. It still runs though. Looks like I'm pulling an engine tomorrow.
Anyone else blow up there fiero lately?

Light came on? Did you check your oil? It may not be as bad as you think. At least pull the stick before pulling the engine , just in case

that's exactly how my 2.8 went before getting the 3.4. But it is good to check the oil, and check to see if its not just an exhaust leak, because that can really cause a loud ticking noise.

yup - me too a long freeway blast killed my 2.8

Mine ate itself up on Father's day...On the Expressway, no less...Third time driving it...Rattle turned into a knock and I had just changed the oil the day before...Now sounds like a spoon in a blender. This is my first Fiero and everyone on this forum is right...They just seem to reproduce themselves as I just picked up a '86 with a fresh 2.8 donor for mine....Guess what I'm doing in about a week or two....Mike

I just got my engine out today. Getting a donor tomorrow and driving her by diner time! And wpg. When I pulled the liner I sorta broke it in half sorry
