The officer kind of jumped out in front of Archie. I think it might have been an effort to keep him from getting away. The car kind of looks like if it were in front of you, you might not ever catch it. He might have just been in a hurry to get back to the station and saw the line of too many fieros to wait on.

I was surprised that these weren't part of the show. These (especially the green one) were my favorite cars there. Anyone have any more information on them?
EDIT: Thanks Archie for putting up more pictures of them! The paint on the orange and green one was very eye catching! I don't think their full glory can be caught on film

I'm pretty sure the Green one was the first Chop Top built by joshua riedl - it was a Red Notchback. The orange one is his latest chop......and they do both look great.

Yup. Troyboy took Best of Show Modified, and Chula's Choice. It also received a special certificate of recognition.
The Prezzzz (Tom) waited until Archie sat back down before calling him up to receive the next trophy.
Archie, who was sitting in the back accepted the awards on behalf of Troy.
Yes, Tom is mean.
I'm sitting back there trying to send a pic of trophies to Troy on my phone, 'cus I thought we were all done, Tom calls my name again & I had no clue what he was calling me for because I hadn't been listening. I had that "not paying attention to the teacher in the classroom feeling", if you know what I mean.

We didn't enter the show because no one thought they had a chance at anything. I know it takes away from the point of a competetion but it was a miracle the orange and green ones were there. The red GT has a 3800sc/5speed and was the most reliable car of the 3. It was an interesting drive with the 3 of us together. Only think better would have been if fieromadman didn't cancel on us. The green car has a bad transmission with no 5th or reverse. The orange car wasn't even running 3 weeks ago and I just put the interior together last weekend and worked until 11pm friday night fixing a melted sparkplug wire and making up some quick quarter glass. The only road time it's had is driving to and from the painters and then to the Dells and back. Now it'll be in the shop for a few things that came up, altenator and a/c compressor noise and an exhaust leak. It was a great time and I'll pass on your compliments to the others.

The cars looked great and would have been able to compete in the 'work in progress' class. Nice to see someone using 3rd and 4th gen 60* V6 engines. I may have questions for you in the future if you don't mind. I was hoping to see Jeff as well this year... it would have been good to have more than one TDC on the show field. Can't wait to see the cars finished!
Thank you guys for posting all those excellent pictures.. Man there were a lot of nice cars and people at the show.. I have to say you definately took better pictures of my car and all the cars than I did Very nice...

I am very impressed with those cars. They just looked great. I guess that's because I'm a notch back fan If your cars were entered, I would have voted for either of them as best of show. What were the engines in those? And do you have a build thread on either? The only thing about them was that I couldn't get a look at the interior with your tinted glass Again, very nice cars.
BTW, I saw you guys driving around town. I'm not surprised the green one needs a new trans
I didn't get a pic of the Duke's build list but the guy had Ford 351 pistions in it so there was A LOT of custom work done. Of course there was no real dyno sheet posted but, buy hey
The Green car was a 3400 and the Orange car was a 3900... I love 60* swaps...

Made it home ok and I am glad that everyone had a good time, and for those who couldn't make it to this years show or thought they might not have had any fun! The pictures are worth a thousand words thanks to everyone for making 2009 Dells Run and I hope you had as much fun as I did.

well I just signed up and this is only my 2nd fiero show I wasnt into cars till josh sold me his chop top. I was not sure how well it would do or even compare to the others being the first cars I seen was at archies and when I got to give it to him and his group they do a great job. I was not really sure the reaction that I would get back from people on that color green it was either yopu like or you hate it. So far I'm happy with the feed back of comments and glad I went with the color.
