They blew up a nice aero notchie in Independence Day. 53:44 into the movie in the LA tunnel. At least we don't know whether this one ran or not.

To their credit...the door didn't look like it fit right in the front even from the first frame.....and the quarter windows are completely black (doesn't show GT or SE on them), so at least it wasn't mint. And what did they do to the undercarriage of that thing?

I read somewhere a long while ago that any "stunt" cars to be wrecked are stripped of all fluids to prevent spills, protect the enviroment and make clean-up easier.

Kind of Ironic isn't it. Make the cars environmentally friendly so they feel better about the huge fireballs with tons of smoke they feel they need to keep people awake in some movies.

I remember that episode. It's a few years old.

If you watch closely, they actually wreck two silver fiero's. The first driving is an 85GT, the second one when they go near the car after the accident is actually a fastback.

Yeah i noticed that two, both were identical from the front, but the first is a Notchie.

I always wondered what would happen if a built-up off-roader crashed into a low vehicle. I have no doubt my truck could drive over my Fiero.

Apparently I don't watch enough csi, considering this is old news . The g/f buys all the season dvds. I just watched this episode, and thought I might be the first to note it. ...how naive am I?

But..... being as I was watching this on dvd, and had the luxury of a pause button... I took the opportunity to snap a few pics (g/f just didn't seem to understand )

...old news, but likely the most screen time a fiero has been given on prime time t.v. and pictures are always worth posting
Was also a little funny that Grissom approaching the car says, "Is this a fiero?!" lol! He got some sarcastic response from the police cheif about how he should have a "members only jacket" I thought that was quite funny. Btw, it looked to me that the fastback was a t-top. Thats a shame.

On with the show....

...ya, I had time to kill

I remember that episode; i cringed. I never noticed the notchie to fast back switch though, and what a huge waste of good Fiero's. Captain Brass....The Pontiac Fiero , kinda makes you nostalgic for a members only jacket

yes a members only jacket would rock, they all have the PFF logo with the fiero logo on them.

well there are other things that are really close to that on here.

the other tv show with a fiero in it is "how i met your mother" an entire episode over the fiero. i immediatly downloaded a high resolution copy of it. ah, piracy is great. ARR!

i guess thats fitting since im in the navy and all

Wrong show. Your thinking of that Episode of How I Met Your Mother. We're talking about CSI.

Did anyone notice that the last pic in the series above the fiero has changed to a fastback with a wing from a notchie without a wing?

There's no bra there. It's just that the front of the nose looks dark from the lighting (or lack thereof). The two pictures you posted are both the same car, or at least the same body and color anyway.

I think in that episode they actually had trouble with the hummer rolling right over the car, instead of having the windshield and roof cave in like they wanted it to.

Anyone else think that the car wrecked in CSI is the same one driven in How I met Your Mother? They look really similar. Silver aero notchbacks with no wing.

EDIT: Maybe not, the CSI episode aired in 2005.

Kinda hard to smash the same car twice. They probably had two notchies and screwed a shot up. So they had to go a find another one for one shot. Then, with no luck the settled for a fastback. They could have at least removed the wing or used a Geo. There is probably a thread somewhere on a Hummer forum saying they used two different Hummers for that seen.

Here's a clip from How I Met Your Mother w/ Fiero
