well im pissed as hell today. i worked a graveyard shift lastnight, i parked my car in the local neighborhood parking lot.....safe, secure, its by an internationaly known theater for gods sake. so i get to my car about 4:30 a.m. i notice that y headlights are down. i have my pop ups up all the time (motors bad)the i have the lights proped open with some wood struts to keep them open...very stiff woodwork) so this isnt right. so i walk around and inspect the car things seem ok. i open the door and see that my rear view mirror is laying across the center consol and that my windsheild is chipped. i pop the hood to find that not only are my wooden struts are destroyed, the arms that push up the lights are broken in half, the lip right under the hood that holds the headlight door is splintered and cracked and also the housing for the lights themselves are broken.......so yea i pissed as hell.

That's terrible man. I had my car parked out front my own house, I come out in the morning. Some one had backed up into me, scratched my bumper real good and cracked part of the hood.... I JUST put a base coat clear coat paint job on 4 months ago... ::sigh::

Its becoming popular among our foolish youth were they run up and down your car. A Lamborghini owner caught some jackass doing this to his car. I'm afraid its now copied over here too.
Any video cameras in the area?

Park there one day, hide in the bushes with a baseball bat, or an Airsoft gun... and attack anyone who touches another person's car in that manner! Just knock em in the head with the baseball bat, and place a gun on the ground next to their dead body, and claim it was in self defense, they had a gun.

Racing_Master, I like the bat idea but I think you would have a tough time convincing the cops that you just happen to be walking around with a baseball bat in your hand..LOL
Buy a baseball bat on the same day from a store and dont drive there. Then youd have a reason to be walking around with a baseball bat. "I bought it on my on my way into work graveyard shift and got off early and i was walking home...." Sound good enough right?

That sucks, it's a crappy feeling when someone messes with your property and hard work. A few minutes worth of fun to them can mean months of crap for you. My car was broken into last November and I still haven't got her back into shape (I'm off at college so I'm trying to do things from a distance).
Good luck with the damage control, I hope it goes well.
That's hard to take and I can sympathise. Here in Winnipeg (Car Theft Capital Of The Fallugen Universe [http://www.cbc.ca/canada/manitoba/story/2007/07/27/auto-theft.html]) I am always surprised to awaken come morning and still see my car out on the street. My truck generally gets tossed about every other week in my back driveway directly under a giant streetlight. Only a fool (or someone who enjoys replacing glass on a regular basis) would lock a car around here. That did not stop the brainiacs last summer the first night I brought my Fiero in from winter stortage and parked it in the front street. They attempted to break into an unlocked car by prying on the side glass and bending the metal above it. They then attempted to "pick the lock" and managed to ruin that. Thank goodness they did not get in and steal my priceless audio cassettes. The local fence would have probably kicked their sorry a$$e$ up and down the street when they dropped by to cash in the proceeds.

Are you serious face. What about Law enforcement? I know these things happen but if its weekly hell even monthly and law enforcement couldn't/wouldn't do anything about it a few boobie traps would work well.
Serious. The theft and joyriding is being perpetrated by 13-18 year olds who hide behind the law. The last several incidents have punched it up a bit as it seems the kids are into using stolen cars to ram each other and clip pedestrians (as well as being poor drivers). As usual lawmakers and judges are clueless.
