You may have to make that one as HyperV6 bought that and shortly after the company went out of business. He had a heck of a time gettign all of his stuff if I remember correctly. I do not know if anyone took over the set up as it really seems to be a one of a kind hood. Hope you find it. Rick
I have that scoop. I got it about 5 or 6 years ago from Fiero Conversions in Canada. I don't know if their in business anymore but heres their number 519-972-4989.

Well with the post above mine here I now know of only 3 of these hoods still around.
The one I have is from the old Fiero Owners club. Few were sold as it was expensive and very poor quality.
This vent is not a add on hood but a entire molded hood. They would take a old hood and peel off the top then mold a new hood onto the stock lower support which is a good idea. It makes for a much eaiser and more natural looking hood. It also makes it a bolt on to all stock parts.
It is names the Norman hood as it was designed for the Fiero names Obsession that was in Hot Rod a few years back. Now in the magazine the hood was gone and aultered so that hood may be gone altogether. There is a German guy in Chicago that had one with wire spoked wheels on the car I saw in the IL Fiero Club news letter. He also had a poor quality hood that took a lot of work to make it right.
I have had mine off for a year to get the few flaws I have repaired but my painter is a good painter but also a good drunk. I may bail on him and get someone else to finish for this season coming up as I want to get it back on again.
Note I did modify my hood from the others where I added a frenched in are in the vent area for the over flow cap to make mine different than Obsession had. Just something I though was a good idea when I was trying to get it straight. Besides the clearance was close anyway.
Any poor quality also was in the fiberglass and not the opening or molding.

Now that I looked more at this it is very similar but not the same. Did you buy this as a complete hood or add the vent in only.
I note yours is farther forward than mine. I had to move my trunk wall a little to clear. On yours with it where it is it should clear with no mods.
Can you post more pictures?
I have three ribs but in yours it looks like two. It looks like a copy but a very good one of the original.

It is a Pegasus Engineering in Big Sandy OR back in the 80's. It is a direct rip odd of the DGP Stage I but they added ribbs to the skirt.
They advertised in all the major magazines in the 80's. I only know of one other in Nevada still around.
They guy who made them went to jail for federal mail fraud as he did not ship everything ordered. I was told I was lucky that I got mine as many never got anything.
I put them on over 20 years ogo. It has not seemed that long!

Mine was a fiberglass insert and I paid $250 for it. It has 2 ribs in it. I also noticed that mine sits lower then yours. I didn't have to modify my trunk the only thing I had to do was change my over flow tank to a smaller one. I'll see if I have any other pics of it, if not and you want some more pics of different angles I'll take some for you.

Did you change your hood out at this past year's Pontiac Nationals for some reason? I don't know if you remember talking to my Dad and me.
Yes I have had the hood off as I have been trying to gwt some flaws fixed that my painter said he would fix. He is a good painter but a better drunk so It has been off for over a year. I may have to take it some where else to it done because I wanted it on this year.
I was up till 3 AM two years ago waiting to get the hood done. The paintere had me come over at 12AM and I found it was not right. I hads to go back and pull my old hood out and put it on. The old hood needed buffed out since it had set for about 7 years, I have had it on and off so many times that summer I can change it in about 10 min by my self.
I do remember you dad as we spoke quite a while. I even saved your pictures for my screen savers for may screens at work.

By adding a few slats to mine it could look a lot like that awesume hood here, though it is not as wide. If any wants to come to my part Va. your welcome to barrow my buck to make one. I'd be gald to tell you to but, I wont make it for you.
That is exactly what I've been looking for! I have the Ferrari 328 kit with the 3 center slotted vents that don't vent! This would solve everything! I'm in if there's a group buy involved.

It is not identical but they did a very good job capturing the look with a cut in scoop. I am impressed with the look of yours and the job you did installing it. Job Well Done!
I would like to make copies but really don't have the skill or time to really fool with it. I have had some offers by others to help and my do so in the future but for now I just want to get mine back on the car and remove all small flaws. I already have more time and money in this hood than I am willing to admit.
godfather,, you say you went to a smaller overflow tank . just what did you find that fits ,,ive been using a 2 ltr coke bottle for a while now this should save me from opening a few dozen hoods. clynt

hellbentkrusty, I got the tank from a parts store. It's a Dorman product and it's universal and can be used as a overflow tank or windshield washer tank. I don't have the part # but you should be able to order it thru a part store that sells Dorman or Mighty products.
