so i go to my shop this morning and i get there just as my dad got there. he noticed the door to the suburban is hangin open. so walk over to close it and then noticed the sunroof to the fiero which was parked next to it is sittin open..... nice surprise to someone broke the latch, tore apart my center console and tore out my new pioneer headunit and tore through everything inside the car. the pulled the center glove box part up for somereason, snapped the shifter surround, snapped the radio surround and broke everything. go over to my project caprice and hey, the broke apart the bottom of my dash and ripped the sony explode unit out. them my buddys camaro they took the stereo out of that- yet left approx. $350 of autometer guages and an MSD box. I wish we had a camera seeing as the barbed wire fence didnt stop the scum sucking pieces of low life trash. Now im out $400 in stereo and the damage and time to replace the entire dash in the caprice and the panels in the fiero and sunroof

There should be plenty of fingerprints to go around. Did you notify the police. If not, you should immediatley. My brother had his car broke into and the kids stole his radio. He reported and figured that was the last he would hear of it. Turns out 6 months later the kids got busted and when the cops searched the house there was my brothers head unit along with like 50 other stereos and amps and even a gun. The kids are now in juvy causing no more problems. That sucks dude hope everything works out.

sorry to hear it. The people in the complex where i live will steal your LAUNDRY from the dryer - they're even sneaky about it and won't steal everything at once; just like a few pairs of jeans or shirts so you don't get your guard up - they apparently learned that you can steal more from people who don't suspect their stuff is missing. same thing from the garages ....
thats really gay. i had my car broken into earlier in the year. it was kinda my fault. it was a really bad ghetto area and i left my car over night. it just made it worse since it was the morning after i found out my grandma died. they smashed my passenger window and yanked out my stereo. the retards didn't even grab my ipod in the driver pocket or my girlfriends chanel glasses (those 2 alone were worth more than my unit). i hate stupid people. but now im gonna get a paging alarm just to atleast maybe have a chance at catching who is in the act.
I know how you feel man. I've been ripped off SO many times.
A couple years ago, as I was sleeping someone broke into my honda civic in my driveway and took my CD deck amp and sub.
Then about a year later in Montreal while I was on tour with my band, someone stole our van gear and all!!!!. We had stopped for some aftrnoon beers before hitting the road to our next gig. I figured since it was downtown, in the afternoon, with tons of ppl around the van would be ok for 20 minutes...wrong. The cops found my van a week later torn up...no amps, no drums, no guitars nothing. They even took our clothes!! When I asked If they fingerprinted it they told me they dont have time to go through every stolen car they find and pretty much told me to Fu*k off. It really pisses me off to know that some French bastard could be wearing my underwear and playing my guitar right now.
Everywhere I go now I take precautions. ive bought alarms, I use the club , I never leave anything of any value in my cars now.
That really sucks. The people who stole the stereos didn't care about your cars. They just wanted the money from the stereos. They probably used a crow bar to take the stereos out. If you drive around your town you might find those stereos at one of your local pawn shops. If you file a report with the cops you can get those back. They got the stereos because they just got to rip and run, but if they want to get the gauges they would have to hammer out the plastic and dash and that would make too much noise. Plus they couldn't sell the gauges at a pawn shop because it would send a red flag to the pawn shop owner. If you get lucky and see them break in to something else of yours, show them what their head feels like between a Fiero door and a quarter panel.

two years ago, i saw my car on the parking lot sitting on bricks. someone stole my wheels, damaged some of the panels and just left it ther sitting on BRICKS ! man i was mad pissed and almost cried. They did not manage to remove one wheel tho, they stripped the nut. So i called the police and he was looking at it all weird and said that probably i wont see my rims again.
Luckily, a year later when i was driving to school i saw an eclipse with weels like mine. i came closer and noticed red overspray macco guys left and he had only 3 of them on the car and one stock. i caled the caps showed them my other rim i had for all this time in my room. they didnt believe me at first but it all ended ok for me. i got my rims and the guy had to pay for towing and all the expenced related to it. he alsa had a case in court for possesion of stolen property.

I just lost my 6-month old Kenwood CD/MP3/XM head unit on Friday.
It doesn't bother me so much that he took my stereo. I want his head on a pike for breaking out the center dash bezel, breaking my glove box and stealing my '85 owners manual. He left the XM radio unit velcroed to the back of the dash. He pulled the FRS radio out of the glove box and threw it on the floor. The only other thing in the glovebox was the owner's manual...
I waited two hours for the Port of Seattle Police to bring up a finger print kit. It finally showed up and the officer smeared the nice set of prints on my passenger window.
I just don't understand...
I have to assume that the guy was a strung out crack-head. I hope he ends up smoking a turd in Hell for eternity.
Hope that they find the bastards that wrecked your cars.

The day after i put my kenwood deck, 3 - 10 inch infinities in box's, 1- 1k sound storm amp and a smaller autobahn amp with everything to make it work into my girlfriends "torus", i get home from work and its all gone. So is the neighbors golf clubs, and the other neighbors new stereo. All the beer from the closed garages on the street "missing". 3 other streets got hit also. No prints at all.
"aside from about 400 dollars of stereo stuff stolen" walking up to my girlfriend crying in front of police with her car raped and all the doors open just put a fury in me i cant even begin to describe. I took my fiero and knocked on everyones door i thought could have a part in it. I posted pictures of my stuff in stores. checked every pawn shop i could find. Told everyone i met about it. Listened for ridiculously loud base while driving. looked into windows for similar equipment while in parking lots. I still do all of this now and this happened like a year ago. Its terribly shitty.
On a better note though for those of you who like justice. My neighbor builds custom sub woofer systems. Some kids came over to talk to him about buying a huge solobaric sub and box. The agreement came down to them trading an aurora for this system. My neighbor said he would pass because the car looked like it got bricked and needed a starter. The whole time these kids were in the garage talking about this sub, they were looking around the garage and asking how much he wanted for the different things he had in his garage, like everything was for sale. i think they were trying to determine what to steal. There was a tiny 4 wheeler and dirtbike. And a GSR or whatever you call them crotch rocket "brand new not even payed for yet" and a few other things. this guys has a very kick as alarm on his car, one night it went off, he got up to shut it off and didn't pay attention to it cuz everything was intact and its very sensitive "trucks set it off". The next morning he and his wife wanted to go for a bike ride, his wife comes up to him and tels him the gsr is gone, the 4 wheeler and the dirt bike is gone. They didnt even open the garage door to get the crotch rocket out. They lifted it sideways to get it out the door. There are freaking tire marks on the side of his garage door. Aside from these kids being in his garage, the only other people who have been in there ever was me and a close friend of his. So these fuks got pissedd because they couldn't trade the car for the sub so they just decided to steal everything. They left prints everywhere, and they had their shoe prints in the mud.
Im beginning to think my neighbor has connections. I talked to him about it and he was ready to cut some fingers off with tin snips. He found out where each of those punks lived somehow. He pulled one of the kids out of his bed and the kid totally pussed out and narked on his friends. My neighbor continued to visit each kid and somehow found out the kid he just visited was going to centerville rel quick. When he said he was going somewhere else. So my neighbor had people up in centerville looking out for his stuff.
now the good part. He had all sorts of stickers on his bike. The cops in centerville got a call that there was a crotch rocket like my neighbors doing stupid stuff and had dealer plates. the cops pull this black guy over and turns out the dealer plates were stolen and the bike was my neighbors! The guy did something bad down south and had to go serve jail time down there first but when he is done with that he gets to serve jail time in iowa to! yayyy! They raided his trailer though and found all sorts of stolen items from surrounding cities and towns, including the rest of my neighbors stuff. His crotch rocket looked like it got dumped a ton of times but insurance covers it
i think i found a way to ward off thieves though.
Just have nothing to steal.
BUT i guess now i need to tell about the stupidest thing thats ever been done to one of my cars.
Someone broke into my fiero just to throw eggs into it. I had a very expensive tach sitting out, and some cd's and some tools. And my owner manual lol since these are valuable now lolol. Nothing stolen, nothing broke. just eggs. and one whole egg set on my seat like i was going to sit on it after seeing eggs all up in my dash. How dumb. I didnt think of it at the time but i took the egg that was whole and threw it at a tree. i could probably have pulled prints off it. Then say i had some super expensive stereo system or something.
k im done.
I feel for ya my friend. Dont just check local, travel out a bit to see if you can find anything.
Yep, I leave em stock. If they break I put a $50 KMart radio in. Anyone that owns any business needs a security camera. Call me paranoid, but I have 10 cameras and not even a squirrel moves here that I dont know about. I call police, but if i see them or a vehicle to ID, Im doing my own search. Heaven help them if I find them first. I think word must have gotten around, everyone around me gets hit all the time, but no ones stepped foot here for a few years now. I do a lot of driving in town, and know LOTS of people so it wont be hard to find anyone. I hate thieves more than just about anything.

What the hell use is the police if they don't bother to even try to help. They make huge salaries, yet do next to nothing aside from piss you off when they pull you over.
Luckily I haven't had to experience anything like this *knock on wood*, but I feel for ya'. *knock on wood*
Circuit city has a rack of returned CD players and speakers in the install department. There is nothing wrong with them they were just returns that people didn’t like. You can pick up nice equipment for half the price if you negotiate with them. I wont ever pay more than $100 for a CD player that I know will get jacked sooner or later. It’s a shame that you work hard for something and some knucklehead steals it. The cop that came out to look at my car told me he would mess up my seats trying to get prints. I didn’t want that so I passed. Looking back I bet he just didn’t want to do the paper work.

Dougie_Murder,
Congratulation, YOU MADE IT, your racist comment is already a thread on the Fiero Montréal forum. Good show !!!
I am 100% behind you that whoever stole your property is a bastard.
Now that I have proven that we agree with the "bastard" description in your statement, let me address the portion that ruffles feathers.
Where do you actually come out to say they are French ??? Did you actually chat with them, there are English speaking people living in Montréal you know (btw, there are also French people living in your "hometown" Toronto). Couldn't the burglar(s) have been German, Russian, Hispanic, African, Japanese or maybe even Jamaican (just to name a few). The comment that you so gracefully posted is upsetting at best, ESPECIALLY coming from a fellow Canadian.
You come out pretty strongly about the "French bastard wearing your underwear". But I am afraid that you missed the essence of this thread. This thread is about property being damaged and / or stolen. This is FAR from your racist "French bastard" comment. I would like to point out that racism comments have no place on this board. Refraining from this type of comment will also help your credibility. As said previously, I really just can't believe that a fellow Canadian would deliberately and openly attack French community within his own country. This is a low shot... real low !

Since when is French a race? Aren't there White, Black, or Asian French people? Calling a criminal a French bastard is a slur but not a racist one. It offends any race that is French so it is an equal opportunity slur.
[French, from Old French, from Old Italian razza, race, lineage.]
noun A local geographic or global human population distinguished as a more or less distinct group by genetically transmitted physical characteristics. A group of people united or classified together on the basis of common history, nationality, or geographic distribution: the German race. A genealogical line; a lineage. Humans considered as a group. Biology An interbreeding, usually geographically isolated population of organisms differing from other populations of the same species in the frequency of hereditary traits. A race that has been given formal taxonomic recognition is known as a subspecies. A breed or strain, as of domestic animals. A distinguishing or characteristic quality, such as the flavor of a wine. usage note Usage Note: The notion of race is nearly as problematic from a scientific point of view as it is from a social one. European physical anthropologists of the 17th and 18th centuries proposed various systems of racial classifications based on such observable characteristics as skin color, hair type, body proportions, and skull measurements, essentially codifying the perceived differences among broad geographic populations of humans. The traditional terms for these populations— Caucasoid (or Caucasian ), Mongoloid, Negroid, and in some systems Australoid —are now controversial in both technical and nontechnical usage, and in some cases they may well be considered offensive. ( Caucasian does retain a certain currency in American English, but it is used almost exclusively to mean “white” or “European” rather than “belonging to the Caucasian race,” a group that includes a variety of peoples generally categorized as nonwhite.) The biological aspect of race is described today not in observable physical features but rather in such genetic characteristics as blood groups and metabolic processes, and the groupings indicated by these factors seldom coincide very neatly with those put forward by earlier physical anthropologists. Citing this and other points—such as the fact that a person who is considered black in one society might be nonblack in another—many cultural anthropologists now consider race to be more a social or mental construct than an objective biological fact.
Oh yeah, to get back on topic, having your car broken into is a real PITA.

Dude. The underwear comment was a joke.
You agree with me that the guy is a bastard. And you agree that being from quebec he could be French right? So does that not make him a French Bastard? So then a french bastard could potentialy be wearing the underwear he stole from me.
i really doubt that will affect my credibility. Do you think people are going to disregard my opinion on Fiero's because i made a joke about a french guy stealing my underwear and then wearing them?
I do not hate French people.
Anyway, I will not continue to defend myself over something I meant with no ill intent. This will be the last thing i say on the subject.
To all the French people I may have offended: je suis désolé. Je n'ai pas voulu vous offenser.
To all the thieves (or bastards) who took my stuff: Je vous souhaite la mort. (I hope you Die.)
This is dumb. I would drop it, whoever stole it is a bastard. And probably French. The French are not a race. Get off your high horse c-l. I think bringing something like this to attention in a thread like this is insensitive and not worth as much time as we have put into it already. The man got his things stolen in a French community, give him a break - he is pissed.
No plus for you! i wish i could give you infinite negatives and bitchh slap for starting drama.
GTFiero1, i know exactly whats going through your head in regards to how you feel about having your things stolen and i think you are entitled to say something like that, even if its offensive. I laughed at it

You would be surprised how cheap business owners are when it comes to security. The company i work for sells cameras and the motion detection recording boxes. Maybe $2500.00 will get you a killer system that will give you evidence to hand over to the cops. Most businesses go "$2500!! OH MY GOD! I can get one at home depot for $250.00" yeah a fisher price one that does not record. I had the house broken into handed over the video to the cops they had the perp in hand in 24 hours and my insurance company is suing him for everything he took ($6800.00 worth of video camera gear, lucky he only got the cheap camera) and he is completely hosed. I got everything replaced with new and no deductible because I was instrumental in capturing the thief.
it paid for it's self enough that the wife asked if I can install more cameras! (note: dont bother with the crappy night vision ones, install a motion light near every camera, works way better.)
side note, a buddy in highschool kept getting his stereo stolen from his Delta 88. last stereo he put in we modified. He changed the wires so that if you hooked it up right it would light a M80 in the open space inside the radio basically turning it into a grenade. then installed it wrong not hooking up the big red wire and black wire. Yup radio got stolen, and 1 week later we found out who as there was an explosion in the school parking lot it ripped the crap out of that 84 Camaro's dash and started to burn. we said nothing and watched as the dash started to catch fire. After the fire department showed up they pulled a box full of car stereos out of the back hatch, we then knew for a fact we got the thief (we had our suspicion) Was it smart to do? no. we were 16 and only wanted someone to be punished badly. It was good to have a electronics genius and explosives expert as a friend in highschool.

too bad lifting fingerprints in a case like this means melting the glue inside the car, which completely ruins the ENITRE interior. thats why they typically dont fingerprint cars, not to mention how many random peoples' (not to mention your own) prints would show up. not very reliable.

Racist comment???
Oh lighten up, it was a funny comment about a not so funny situation.
You should hear what the rest of us Canadians say about Torontonians in these forums.
I'm just glad we live in a part of the country where crime is still (despite the meth heads) relatively light, and everybody knows everybody. If there is a break in, car theft etc. someone will know who did it usually within a day, and even if the police don't arrest the perpetrator he usually pays heavily for his stupidity.
I would invest in cameras, one mounted in the car would be nice, or just spread word that you have cameras, and see if that helps.
