Hopefully I will get the car off the trailer this evening. Anyway, 2200 plus miles, $550+ in gas, 30something hours DRIVING out of the 40+ hour trip.
Left Tuesday night around 9pm, we were back last night around 7pm.

I finally got to do something I have wanted to do forever.......try and shine some chrome just to see.....and well, here is about one minute with some polish and and an old rag!

and some quick uploads, I'm going back to the garage.

mission accomplished back in bellevue photo

and as it sits awaiting TLC...and motor swap, interior swap, rechroming, paint and wheels. lol
1987 Zimmer Quicksilver, Pop bought it new in 87, traded in his 87 Fiero GT for it. I even have the paperwork with all the buying info with the fiero info, old man kept everything!

Awesome!!

I've always had a thing for the Zimmers. I hope you bring it to some shows.

I wish there was a "kit" for those.

I would turn my '84 into one in a heartbeat!

I have this thing for the mid 80's boat cars - My wife hates them

The Quicklsilver would be the best of both worlds!!!

Enjoy!

Nice! That's one way to get a Fiero with power steering.

Thanks for the great pics!

Wow, we didn't have a Zimmer at the 20th anniversary event, although some were invited. I hope you can take it to the 25th.

Last year a Zimmer with a 4.9 showed up at Daytona. He was from the Pensacola area so I'm not sure why he didn't show up this year. Unfortunately his power steering had been removed so I didn't get a chance to check that out.

For those unfamiliar, a Zimmer posting party:

That's pretty cool, but I still have no real idea what a Zimmer Quicksilver is. I kind of like the look, were they basically a kit for the fiero?

It wasn't a kit, it was manufactured to be a unique car, Zimmer motor company still (again) exists but the quicksilver is long out of production.

Found this whilst searching. I've had a thing for Zimmers sincethey came out. They definatefly look even cooler in person.
Can you get some good pictures of the interior? The Zimmer interiors were pretty sweet.
