I have a leaking muncie 4 speed. It looks to be right where the drive axles come out. Do any of you have any suggestions on how to fix it with out going to a shop, I can't afford $350+. I have the drive axle seal.

Take out the axle that is leaking. Get a seal puller and carefully pull the seal out of the transmission but be careful not to gouge the soft aluminum that the trans is made of. Now the tough part is putting the new ones in. I got a peice of 2" PVC pipe and used a dremel until the inside diameter was perfect for the seal. Now drive it in with a hammer, which is a PITA. Once you got it going make sure it's going in straight and keep banging it in until the flange of the seal is flush with the transmission. Good Luck!
