It's less than 2 months away! The MAFOA swap meet is just around the corner on April 22nd. http://calendar.fieropride.com/#MAFOASwap It is located in North East PA. Last year we had people from all over the North East ranging from the New England states, through Upstate NY and Lower PA.
We will be having a dish to pass luncheon and tech sessions. There are parts galore here and I even recently brought home another 88GT to strip out for more 88 parts. Come get the parts you need, or get rid of parts you don't want to store. I've got plenty of room! (just built a 30x50 Fiero storage garage).
The first year went very well considering we had heavy rain that week and it was only the first year. This year we hope to do better with a larger crowd!
It's like hours plus from anywhere... Where is there to sleep?
That location is even worse than trying to get to bloody Carlisle and back in one day.

I would love to attend this year but this little deployment of mine has me wrapped up until oh say June! No MOFOA and Carlisle. So heres my bump for the crowd.

I might. I want to get it in the garage first and see if I can save the car. The engine had caught fire and the rear of the car is toasted from the top of the engine up. If I get the plastic off and find the frame isn't heat damaged I will probably try to save the car as it is fine otherwise.
I am definately going to try and make this event, so I can meet with the fiero people on this side of the country, and find out about joining the local clubs etc...
My car definately needs a neutrally balanced flywheel from an '88 if you have one and can put it aside for me.

I have one but I'm not sure if I will get a chance to pull it from the car before then. It's in the aforementioned GT. I'm pretty sure that it will be fine that deep in the engine and shouldn't have been effected by the flames which appear to have been fed by a gas line and were primarily on the top of the engine (not from underneath). Check with me in April to see how far along I am in stripping. I've got to get my 3800 back together and out of the garage first but its been way to cold in my garage as of late.

Is "Red" going to be there? im not sure if I will be able to attend, as I believe the family is planning a surprise get together for my 30th birthday which is the 24th, but I work that day so not sure what day and what they are upto
Hmm... I need to pick up a motor in Lilly, PA. Troy is sorta on the way. Maybe I can come to the swap meet and get my motor in one weekend.
Clint, do you have any more info on the plans for the day?
Vin
Oh yeah, el bumpo.
Dish to pass lunch. We will likely have a tech-session. (I forget who had volunteered to do something for that). Lots of chatting, and looking at Fiero cars/parts. Selling, buying, bargaining. And if like last year people leaving parts here for me to store and my wife to complain about It's better than them throwing them away and the parts being lost forever though!
I will also endeavor to make sure everyone travels as least amount of dirt-roads as possible.

Must have been a whole lotta road construction between here and there since we made the trip last year. How in the deuce did you ever afford to pave your driveway?
We're looking forward to seeing you and Nickster's Redhead on the 22nd (in Gordo's truck).

And the weather is going to be great this week! I should actually be able to get some sorting done. Especially since I've given up having my 3800 running by the meet. Will be taking loads to the new garage every evening this week and consolidating.

I finished the 2nd story storage area in the new garage last night. Hope to build stairs on Wednesday. Already got lots of parts up there. Its a great area for the nearly 35 bumpers I have as well as fender well liners and dashes, etc. etc. etc. Perhaps I can get some pictures on Wednesday as well. (school board meeting tonight, I work from 8:00 to 8:00 today.

So... do I bring a bunch of stuff to "Swap"? How does this work, I've never been to one before. I know what I'm looking for, but what does everyone else need? And if I bring a bunch of parts, that pretty much rules out driving the Fiero.
If you so choose you can. If you just want to come and buy, thats fine, if you just want to come and show off your Fiero, that's fine, if you just want to come and talk to other Fiero-Drivers, that's fine...
