Lots of people have been asking where Spddy has been. I know he has been busy and I haven't even talked to him as often as usual. So I finally found out what is keeping him busy... Pictures will follow.. But you'll have to come to the Coast Run to see this beast in person!
I know he is working on one that is based on a Diablo Replica chassis and has an LS-1 in it, but this one is based on a stretched Fiero I am pretty sure. I think he is building a couple for himself to get good at it and then is going to go into business building them for other people. Looks to me like he has got it down to an art! I am not sure what the running gear is in this one.

There are a couple of giveaways if you look close. In the rear view, you can see the bottom of the Fiero cradle. It is hard to tell in the small picture I made for the forum, but in the engine picture you can see a Fiero thermostat housing neck sticking up.
If the aim of a kit is to look like a real one, I think he has done it with this one.

Hey Songman did speedy ever get his notchie with the flip up front fixed ??
I know he banged it up at a recent show.
I just talked to spddy this morning. He has shelved that car. He can't get it smogged, so he can't drive it on the street. The Lambo has a 2.8 in it, so it can be driven, which is what he wants.

Here is a side-by-side comparison. This is a really great kit. That is the point of it. But it is obviously a kit, as I pointed out earlier. But you have to know what to look for. The lack of a rear differential is always a good indicator of a kit car. You can see the Fiero cradle underneath the rear of the car. Also, the width of the rear tires is a dead giveaway. I pointed out earlier that you can see the Fiero thermostat housing peeking out from under the engine cover. I am sure Spddy will smile when he sees this thread. Most any kit owner would like it if you have to prove that your car is not the real thing... And it will definitely be on the Coast Run!
Personally, I think Spddy's car looks better than the real thing.

Tell him to send it out to florida, i will take care of it for him hehehe.
We don't have the smog nazis out here ! No sense in it going to waste.
Seriously though Songman, does speedy check his PMs ?? I wanted to ask him a few questions about the fiero build. A couple of things i wanted to copy.

Looks to me like rehbergmotorcars.ca is the dishonest one here. First, that looks like spddy's front yard. Second, hes a body guy by trade and I know he's more than capable of that kind of work. And third, naerc states that it is a kit they offer, whereas rehberg claims that it is not a kit and they built it all by themselves. I'm think rehberg has some explaining to do, I believe spddy built that kit from naerc.

Spddy's car is built from an NAERC kit. All standard parts and I have even seen quite a few in the same color. Spddy has been talking to the owner of NAERC for over a year to start building these kits. He has two more partially completed ones in his shop but he's been too busy with his regular body shop business to finish them.
And if you doubt his ability to build such a car, all you have to do is look here... Guess he likes blue, huh?

Just want to make clear I wasn't doubting that he built it, but rather thought he should be informed if someone else is claiming his car as their own.
Didn't pick up negative tones from you, it was the people who posted after you that we wanted to make it clear to. And I'm with you, spddy might want to have a word with that site for those false claims.
