First I want to thank all those who sent the PM's and Emails expressing concern for the well being of my famiily. It is great to have friends from Pennocks that have shown genuine concern for our well being, thank you all !!! We just recently got our power and phones back but other than those minor inconviences we are very blessed. Many thousand have not been so lucky. They are without homes or jobs to return to. We have had some friends come stay with us. It is very sad to see the lost emptiness in their eyes , many made it out with nothing but the very clothes on there backs....and some of our friends we still have not heard from. My wife and I have never in our lives felt or seen the kind of hurt and saddness we are feeling for them . We know for sure a friend of mine and his wife who lived in N.O. have lost there lives. It is very hard even now as I type to control the tears... We just wanted to let everyone know we are ok, I doubt I will have time to reespond to any replies because we are heading out within the hour to volunteer our help in some of the areas that are in desperate need. Once again I can not express how much we appreciate our friends , thier concern and the help they have offered. Pennocks is truly a special family to me....Thank you so much Cliff for all your efforts to keep this site going , the work and patients you have had....it has given us the oppurtunity to meet some truly wonderful people.

So glad to hear from you! Been wondering and concerned since the storm hit. That's all that really needs said, glad that you are ok.
You are right about the folks that aren't, their lives are changed forever. Good to hear you are in a position to help somebody else out too. Very sorry to hear about your freinds, that doesn't adequitely express what is felt, but it's all that words can cover.
If there's anything you need that we can provide, name it. Not in great shape myself, but I didn't just come through a hurricane!
Zoom88, it is so good to hear you and your family are ok. Thanks for posting. As you know, information is hard to come by. If you have any news for us about our other PFFers, please post when you can get a chance. We are all concerned. Prayers that way.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. I have not heard from any other PFF 's yet but will keep an ear open. We are all very tired and got back to the house at around 3:00 AM to get some rest. We brought several people with us to our house. We helped distribute water all day yesterday to some of the areas that are in desperate need. I knew it was bad but didn't really understand how bad New Orleans and the surrounding areas are until I saw some of it first hand .... I can not begin to describe how awful it is. Sorry if I make this short, I am going to get some rest and then we are heading out again. Thank You all and please continue to keep us in your prayers. Terry

Glad to hear you and your family are ok. But sadly as you stated and as we all are seeing in the news many more are not and that is very tragic. So sorry to hear about your friends. The members on PFF may not always agree but in circumstances like these we all come together as one. Good luck and let us know when you can how everything is going down there.
