Let's call this looking after our own. Not a charity for the masses. Money to go to people off the forum who are in the worst need. I am willing to donate a set of Stage 2 side scoops valued at $340 retail to go to a raffle. I propose all you other vendors chip in some prizes as well and we have a mega Fiero raffle. 2000 tickets at $5 a ticket. Shouldn't be hard to sell between here and Fiero clubs. And then we have $10,000. I will be contacting vendors I know are not on the forum to see if they can chip in too. Maybe Cliff can donate a banner ad to advertise the raffle on the site to sell the tickets fast.
Hopefully someone like Fierochic88 or Fierogirls mum who are already raising money can help in this by collecting the money and Electronically keeping track of ticket holders. I also propose those who have already donated automatically get that value in tickets.
If enough vendors join me we should be able to make up 3 really good prizes and 2000 tickets for 3 prize packages is really good chances.
What better way to help, you get a chance at some great stuff for your Fiero as well.
That money can then be distributed as planed in the other thread. Helping out our Fiero buddies in need.
So other vendors. Who's in? And what prize will you commit?

If you can figure things out, I'd love to help in anyway possible. Just let me know!!!
I'm sure I could get a roll of tickets and if people send me money, I'll pull the tickets, put thier name on the back and pm them the number. It would be nice to have the drawing done at a show of some kind. That way, things might not get out of hand.
Like I said, let me know!

Hi Jim and James, James: The leather seats kit is under construction and will be shipped to you soon. Jim: Great idea, put me down for another leather seats kit, for your raffle. Last year my associate MrTim was wiped out by hurricane Charley. The Fiero community responded with generosity and kindness. The donations were much appreciated and heartfelt. I encourage all Fiero vendors and owners to donate to this worthwhile effort. And let’s all give a big “Thank You” to Jim and James for organizing this.

Project Hurricane is well underway, but I'm finding the hardest part being choosing who gets it.... It's hard to pick just one person. What do you think about making project hurricane one of the grand prizes in the raffel? I would buy a TON of tickets if I has the opprotunity to win! Let's work together on this.

We have several ideas to help PFF hurricane victims:
FGM- collecting money and sending directly to those in need. ( in progress)
Aus- Raffle scoops and Mr. Mikes 5$ a ticket. Money goes to FGM and is retro active for all members that donated already. ( FGM should start sending out tickets to previous donators.)??
Fiero focus- project Hurricane started as fiero for victim ,now might be part of AUS raffle?? IMHO keep original idea pick name out of hat( so to speak) with only names of the pff'ers that lost cars. ( please decide soon)
Many PFFers have offered car parts - awsome idea. someone needs to inventory donations of this type for use when needed by victims. May be awhile down the road but still great to think ahead.
As always RED CROSS is a great idea, although not fiero forum specific.
I will be donating soon but wanted to see if I uderstood the multiple threads correctly.

Aus, think about it. All Fiero rallies run from a central thread. there has been some confusion from multiple help threads. Many have agreed to work through this thread. We have money collections, work crews being formed. I have asked FocusRush to include his Project Hurricane in that thread. Could you include your excellent idea there also ?

Aus's idea is included there. See my original post (which I keep editted). Aus should keep this thread open to solicit from vendors but those who want to sell tickets please see the post cliffw has linked too (thanks cliff!).

I've always like Mr. Mike's leather seats and had planned on getting them along with the door panels and sun visors. Not only does he have good product, but he shows he is a good person(along with ausfiero and many other vendors). Now he is guranteed my business to him in the future(for two cars). I will probably work on the engine swap first but it will happen. I had been a member of a music forum in the past and had to put up with a lot of children flaming and complaining about little things. So nice to see a forum go out of its way for the people that are members.

In an effort to cover all bases, I am duplicating my post from another Katrina thread we are working from. I wanted to ensure that clubs and/or vendors willing to donate a t-shirt for the proposed raffle see the information.
T-SHIRT DONATIONS FOR RAFFLE
I have volunteered to be the “collector” of the t-shirts donated by clubs to be included in the raffle, which Jen and Aus are organizing.
For the time being, I will catalog them and post as they are received. At a later date I will coordinate with Jen and/or Aus as to their distribution when things are finalized. This way they will be in one place and can be distributed from one point when the time comes.
Maryjane and Fierobear are contacting various clubs in their regions requesting donations of t-shirts. Any clubs or businesses wishing to donate a t-shirt for the raffle can forward to me at the following address:
Ellen Pepper 139 East Guilford Cemetery Road Bainbridge, NY 13733
Thanks!

From Ed Parks on the Fiero mailing list -----------------------------------------------------------
List friends, this is probably not going to reach our gulf coast Fiero friends, but if they left early, it might. If not, perhaps they can catch up to it or someone can find and let them know.
Rosy and I still have long term accommodations available. Beds, showers, food, clothes, sanitary items, a/c, transportation, and gas $$ will be provided. We just need you-y'all to show up or let us know how to get you here.
Also, storage and help with repairs and parts for their Fiero's will be available. Or, if the Fiero is unrepairable, then a purchase or trade allowance on another Fiero. Any balances due.....would be just that.....due whenever.....??
Or, if others on the list have a titled "almost running" Fiero they wish to donate, The Fiero Factory will get it running and give it to someone that has lost theirs.
We realize that replacing a Fiero will be low on the totem pole of their "new" life, and in the meantime, folks will need the long term help of cash donations to the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
We already have some gulf coast folks in shelters in Huntsville, Al and will be helping through the Moose and Eagle lodges to provide some of what they need.
Let's everyone do a small part and it will add up to a lot.

Ok. Good news and an update. After talks with Focus Rush he has agreed that raffling project Hurricane is going to raise the most funds. I will have further talks with him soon to work out the logistics of the project. Now for a prize list for the minor prizes. Well the ones so far. A big thanks to Mr Mike and Matt from the Fiero Store. So far we have. Stage 2 side scoops - Fiero Shop International Mr Mikes Leather Seat Skins - Mr Mikes Set of Intrax springs - Fiero Store Ocelot cat-back exhaust system with tips - Fiero Store Various T-Shirts from various sources. And of course a big thank you to FocusRush for coming in on this combined effort.
Tickets will be on sale soon and we will let you know more details of that soon. Thank you Jen (Fierochic88) for helping with this. We are aiming to sell 4000 tickets at $5 each. What great odds to win the best lot of prizes in a Fiero raffle ever.
Any other vendors out there want to help? Now is the time to put your hand up.

I would be willing to put some cash down for this cause... Just let everyone know when / where we can buy the tickets. I am pretty far away from you, but I could always send a check!
Btw; Good idea Jim!
