First off, I would like to thank every one who thankfully participated, making the 2005 Heartland Fiero Show an outstanding and successful event. Thank You! Cars came from 8 states including IA, IL, MI, IN, WI, MN, NE, and MO. The official show registered car count was 44. I had four more show up late in the afternoon due to mechanical difficulties and was to late to enter. My "out of bounds" car count volunteer counted 18 Fieros that stopped to see the show, but did not participate. I also missed some attendance by the "Gunsul Gang" who ended up MIA; what happened to you guys??? I had a surprise bag of Taco Bell Chalupas that I had to feed to the neighborhood dogs. Fierohoho was really bummed because he really did not have anyone to make fun of.

The Village of East Davenport has invited us back again next year.

Extra Special Thanks to my sponsors: Rodney Dickman, The Fiero Store, Sinister Performance (Darth Fiero) Barjan Corporation and the merchants of the Village of East Davenport.

I had excellent local media coverage starting with the article that CoolBlue posted (Thanks Dave!) including an advertisement for the show for close to two weeks prior.

43 people came to the house for the after show celebratory Cook-Out. Most of the people stayed until almost midnight.

Darth Fiero's pictures really sum up the show and cook-out. The quality of the cars on display were outstanding. I received numerous comments on how nice the cars looked.

Here is a list of winners: Sorry, I did not get any pictures of the winners, to much excitement going on. Name-State-Fiero

Here are a couple of current pics. I do not intend on restoration for a while. The car has recieved lots of cleaning and TLC physically and mechanically to make it presentable in it's original untouched form. I want to enjoy the car a little before I make it a piece of jewlery.

As promissed but a little late a few of my pics from the show.

A view from up the hill.

Fred and a show contestant.

My wife Dianne with our Hard Luck Award.

At Fred and Annette's place for the BBQ, good food and plenty of people to talk to.

A shot of a few of the people who showed up for the BBQ.

A great time.

I saw and met a lot of new people in the Fiero community.

Thanks Fred, Thanks Annette for your hospitality.

I like that yellow car with the yellow wheels in one of the BBQ shots.

Quick question... in the list of winners for coupes... what happened to 2nd place?

here's a quote:

"Class B, Stock 6 Cylinder Coupe
1st Ryan Scheer, IL 88 Formula
2nd Joe McFadden, MO White GT 20k miles
3rd John Holmes, IL 88 Formula T-Top"

Looks like a nice turnout... love your go-kart Fred!

If you're wondering about the "GT", its an 85. And absolutely pristine. I loved that car.
