I finally broke down and bought the hood from the locak pick a part.
Ive had the turbocoupe vents for several weeks but havnt had an excuse to do anything with them.
well, this being fathers day, and, well, i have no kids to annoy the crap outta me, i decided the best thing i could do was to get my arse in gear and start this project.

High tech templates... (boy, the wife will be pissed when she notices those flaps are missing from the newspaper box.)

After much thinking and moving the templated up and down, back, forth, i decided that this looked the best to me, and made my outline.

Always wear a mask when cutting this stuff, and safty glasses, I had neither. (I expect to die very soon now.)
I left the material in the middle so my spare tire compartment would still seal correctly, but I do expect a fair amout of work on the underside of the hood to clean everything up. (But really, I did wear a mask)

After much trimming and test fitting, lovingly placed in place.

Back view. Somwhat messy, but, some fibreglass matting and a bit of time, It will look roughly stock.
There you have it!
Over the course of the week I will be bonding in the front and working on the rear. course, there is a bit of sanding required around the area, but, that will come next week. Fornow, my wife will have to contend with my new hood sitting next to the TV making her point the remote at an akward angle just to change the chanel.
