Does anyone have any pictures of the 89/90 Fiero prototype car? I would like as many pictures of this car as I can get, the more detailed the better. You can email them to me if you have some at LoriAnn099@aol.com

Thank You
Lori

That's the wrong link. Try this one: http://photos.yahoo.com/fierobear

Look for the albums that start with "90-"

WOW ! I didn't expect so much response so quickly. Thanks Everyone. And Yes we are going to attempt to recreate this prototype in as much detail as possible. How many people would be interested in a kit when we get the molds done? I still want all the pictures I can get, so if anyone else has some they would like to share, please post them.

A kit would be cool, I really like the idea they had for the tail lights. Reminds me of the Acura NSX.

Also, they were going to fix my biggest gripe about the interior too. The way the dash surrounds the center pod (around the radio/heater controls). It just doesn't wear well, it seems in all the Fiero's I see the area where the dash meets the front facia is always pulling away or warped. Looks like Pontiac made a proper bezel to surround the area in the prototype.

Thanks for the links everyone, it was fun to go through. As far as body mods to match, I'd be interested in seeing what could be done!

More pics of the 90 prototype can be found here.

There's more rare Fiero's to be found at their site. http://www.centralohfiero.org/

EDIT TO ADD: I think a lot of us would be intrested in a kit of the 90 prototype. If a kit was made avalible, I'd be a customer.

2ND EDIT: I just remembered that there was a build-up video of the 90 Fiero at that site. You can find it on this page. Be prepared, the video is 54 minutes long, and 206MB is size. That video gives you a really good idea of how it was to be assembled.

Sorry I should have posted hte details.

There were about 6 Photo shop colour changes on my site. It was from a long lost thread here on PFF. I saved all the pics so they would not be lost in the WWW.

What engine(s) did they have planned for the prototype.

Also, what engine is in the prototype that was at the 20th?

The '90 prototype had the 3.2l DOHC V6, which was the prototype for the 3.4l DOHC V6 that came out shortly thereafter. It was mated to an Auto trans, which I'm almost postive is a 4T60 non-electronic 4spd.

The person that MsLoriFiero is working with is the real deal, he creates a new car every year that, though usually very odd looking, are very well done. He's one of the few people I know that would be capable of pulling off a project like this.

We do plan on building a kit for the Prototype. I am working on finding a headlight system like this, does anyone have any idea what type of car we could get something like this from? I know it would need to be modified some, I just need it to hold the 2 small headlights.

I think the 4th generation Firebirds had flip up lights with 2 bulbs on each side. You could try those maybe.

Look at the bulbs on the early 90's GM trucks, they look kinda like that.
