Could you guys link me to some Fiero sites that sell front bumpers and could you tell me exactly how much does a used one go for?? I'm looking to do a project, but don't want to risk it on my only bumper, so anyone know where I can get a low price aero front bumper(preferably GT style with the rounded moldings). Thx.

i've got one thats not perfect. it has a slight sag in the top where it meets the hood. i bought a new one to replace it. oddly though, my car is an 87 GT with smooth mouldings. the old fascia has a small section of grooved moulding so it must have been replaced with the wrong year at one time. the one i bought is the same way but i'll modify it for the smooth moulding. other than the sag, it's in good shape. i can post some pics if you're interested. i'll let it go for $100.00 + shipping. i have no idea how to ship it but i can find out.

Yeah i'd prefer to see pictures, especially of that "sag". I'm just looking for one that I can do my project on, but not one thats really F'ed up ya know?? Just decent, nothing pretty looking, just in ok shape. Anyone else post if you have one for sale also, i'm trying to find one for the lowest amount of $$$ since i'm cheap lol.

here's the only pic i have right now. i'll shoot some more if you need better ones. it looks funny on the right side because the hood is messed up there. the sag i was talking about you can see right above the logo. that line where it meets the hood. i think it was because the metal support rail under it was rusted out but i already bought a new fascia. i only kept this one to maybe hack up and make a chin spoiler out of it but if someone can use it, i'll sell it before i ruin it. it needs painted obviously, but it's in good shape and straight other than that sag. how much does a used one go for anyway?

damn....forgot the pic

Have you ever thought about using the PFF vendor list for used body parts.? www.twinlakesfiero.com is north of Champaign-Urbana in Paxton.

Check your local listing and see if you have rubber bumper rebuilding company near you. We have a company called the Bumper Shop here in the Sanford area that will strip, dip, repair, and prime ready for paint, all for around 200.00 with about a four day turn around guaranteed. Sounds to good to be true, but all of us use them in the Central Florida area, good luck...

I email this guy 3 times he never replied to the question: is this a new OEM or aftermarket. BUT he did reply to a forth email from a (different account) on a different question. It is clear it is a aftermarket

Yeah I freaked when I heard $700 for a bumper?? But then when I saw your post in another thread I realized the price. If I was restoring my Fiero, I would have no problem paying $700 for a part you can't find anywhere else, or is at least extremely rare. But as you said, i'm looking for a used one so yeah lol.

a u-pull it yard is by far your cheapest place to get a used one. if you can find one that is. that would avoid shipping charges. i've read a few threads here about straightening them. some say used a heat gun (sparingly) and others say to boil it in water. i don't know how the h**l one would boild it though. i've never tried to straighten one befoer. pouring boiling water over it maybe? maybe post a topic and get some fresh ideas how to relax them back to shape.

I was going to put a post in the mall tomorrow with pics of this stuff. I debated posting before on this. It sounds like he's looking for a rough bumper to play with. The one I have is very nice. My price is going to be $150 obo. Its black/silver from an 85 gt.

Yeah you hit it right on the nose, i'm not looking for anything cosmetically nice. Just something that mounts ok, and nothing seriously damaged like a huge tear or something. I'll try to go to U-Wrench-It sometime this week and see if they have any Fieros.

The Fiero Store ones are a remake.

We have a fellow here that bought the Fiero Store one (his was damaged on the way to Red Deer) and it ended up being sent back to them. The body shop could not get it fit and align properly...

He did eventually find a new OEM one from someplace in the US. Not sure what it costed.

Didn't the Fiero Store sell refurbished fascia's? I remember the company (guy really) they had doing them was in Rhode Island and actually did a great job.

He check with GM they told he that they found some after they discontinued them, they are available.

I'm pretty sure they're discontinued. GMPD lists the number and says their price is $274, but when you check out it says that 'it has been discontinued from GM', and thanks for calling, You can have it refurbished by Keystone (with locations throughout the U.S.) for about $150 ready for paint.

GM has NOT made them available again due to demand, they just forund some out west.

Tim, where did you get that information? Can you please post the link that has that info? because that is not what we have been told.
We talked to Bob Parker not long ago and even he said that GM has made them available again.

We have a company called the Bumper Shop here in the Sanford area that will strip, dip, repair, and prime ready for paint, all for around 200.00 with about a four day turn around guaranteed. Sounds to good to be true, but all of us use them in the Central Florida area, good luck...

I just wanted to resubmit what Red GT posted earlier. He had the nose that's on his car reconditioned and it looks brand new. Absolutely no sag what so ever. By the way, his car has won several 1st places and a few Best of Shows. Rather that buy a poorly fitting, China made copy, find a used one and have it reconditioned. The bumper repair facility can repair even torn or scraped areas. What you'll wind up with a true fitting, like new bumper for less than what you can buy from any source.

I know this isn't what Fiero Finale was asking for but it seemed like many who are responding could use this info.

Carry on ,

Well, not to argue with your word over actual links and parts departments that state otherwise, even if it was only 14 that is still more than none

The refurbishing though sounds pretty nice, especially for those on a budget which usually means 99% of most Fiero owners
