Just a reminder that the "Seventh (maybe last) All Fiero Flea Market and Swap Meet" is scheduled for Friday, April 29th through Sunday, May 1st at the Fiero Factory in Toney Alabama. Be sure to set that weekend aside.
In previous years, people have come from as far away as Colorado. Most of the well known vendors are usually there. Rodney Dickman, Doug Kinney (Fiero Warehouse), Paul McKibben (fierosails.com), and many others. Got a garage full of parts that you don't need? Bring 'em on. As the old saying goes, "One person's trash is another person's treasure". No telling what you'll see. Everything from that obscure fastener to complete cars will be for sale. I should mention that Ed does not sell parts at the swap meet. He sponsors this for US, so that we can sell OUR stuff.
It's a great way to meet a couple of hundred other Fiero people in a low-key setting. Come in and say "hi" to Ed and Rosy and the rest of the good folks who have made it their life's ambition to take care of us Fiero junkies. This is NOT a show, although you will undoubtedly see some of the coolest Fieros ever, sitting in the parking lot.
Attendance was down, last year. Ed has said that if it continues to decline this may, indeed, be the last one. Don't let that happen. Make plans now.

doh if I was closer I would love too. Ed's sent me quite a few parts and is an all around good guy, wouldn't mind meeting him and checking the place out.
Come on Low_Key its not that far, I can follow you down. I made it last year and planning on going this year. Hope they put togather another dyno run, that was fun. Se everyone there.

It's a great event. Last year, (my first) a guy I'd never met named Harry saved me a bunch of money on shipping by going to a LOT of trouble to pick up and bring to the Swap Meet a hood I'd purchased on Ebay. That's the kind of people who attend the Swap Meet. I got to see the prototype of Blackrams (and meet Ron and his partner, Dave, who is responsible for the glass work in this creation) Pantera rebody. That's the kind of cars that show up there. Ed and Rosy are people who support the Fiero community not because they're getting rich (trust me, they're not) but because they passionately care about these cars and the enthusiast community that supports them. If you can make it at all, make plans to attend this event. Nothing formal, just a bunch of Fiero nuts swapping parts, lies, and ideas. To give you an idea of the kind of guy Ed is, he foots the bill for this event, out of his own pocket. For the first two days of the event, his parts rooms are closed, unless it's something you previously ordered from him, but he wont sell ANYTHING out of his own large parts inventory, to give everyone else a chance to sell the stuff they brought. Some way to run a business, eh?

In my opinion even though attendance was down plenty of people showed up and it was well worth going. I think even if attendance drops even farther this event will live many more years. If Ed attempts to say there will not be one next year you would probably see many begging him to reconsider. I'll be there to the bitter end.
I honestly don't understand why anyone east of the Rockies would miss this event if there was anyway to come. I brought down a truck and trailer load of stuf last year and came back with almost as much as I took down, just different stuff. It's a great time, don't miss it.

that's the thing, don't think I'll have the car. I have to get some issues looked at this spring/summer hopefully when Darth Fiero's back in Indiana. My charge while driving goes down to 8, something to do with the wiring I suspect.
I'm there !!! This will be my 4th? or 5th? year. No better swap meet around. Just one of those " Gotta be there" events. I'll be the first to mention "drags"? Any chance of getting that set up for this year? They have a local 1/8th mile track not far from Ed's. Would be a fun thing to do on Friday night if it could be arranged. See everybody there.
Thanks for posting this, Steve. Word of mouth is always our best (and only!) advertisement, for the business and the swapmeet. Everyone, tell your non-internet using friends about it. Clubs, shoot me an Email if you'd like some Swapmeet flyers sent to you to be passed out at meetings. Ed and Rosy will have some flyers down at Daytona (I won't be going this year), if anyone wants to pick some up there.
Anyone not sure who/what The Fiero Factory is? Check out our website ( http://www.thefierofactory.com/index.htm ), that'll give you a little idea of what we do. We have a hundred or so cars that have "hope", and can be built up to your specs. Then there's another couple hundred strictly parts cars. We probably have it. Oh, and there is a parts person and a couple of techs who know how to do a thing or two with a Fiero. Email Ed at FieroFactory@juno.com for parts requests, questions, etc.
Alright, enough sales pitch...that's more than we've had in years.

Jack, and others...is there interest in another Dyno Day? I can set one up again, if the interest is there. I'll take "votes" at Fierotech@toast.net, if there seems to be enough interest, I'll make it happen. We've tried having a track day at the local 1/8th mile track, but that never seems to work out; either weather problems, or track problems. The dyno day is a rain or shine thing, on Sunday. I was going to put up a detailed website with the results last year, but Trackmasters did such a great job of putting up the dyno charts with details, I didn't feel a need. Of course, I just went to their website to paste the link over here, and it's temporarily down. Maybe I'll do the custom site this year, if it happens...
Let me know everyone...and take care---

Hopefully I'll have the 4.9 back together and working by then. I really want to go. I'm sure I could use the time off of work by then too. We'll see if I make it.
FINALLY !! , a close one ! im hoping to have my new toy running by then (86 se v6 auto). wow that sounds great, i would like to meet some pff members. if im able to make it, look for a faded red 86 se doubt i will have it painted or fixed up much by then but maby. im in southern TN very close to the AL line so it shouldnt be much of a drive down there, it will prolly be a good test run for my 86 also, so if any pff members see a red fiero on the side of the road, could ya give me a hand ? lol, well im really looking foward to it, i hope i make it down, oh ya.. one more thing...
LOW-KEY BETTER GO... i wanna see that Fiero in person
Fierotech- I for one am interested in the dyno run but would rather do the drags on Fri. Why not both? I would like to see what "Spirit" really does do. Not record setting but fast enough to keep up with traffic.

Jack, and all---
The drags have, historically, not worked out too good. I *will* make an effort myself to co-ordinate something this year. I haven't looked into it myself to see what the options are; I know they run Friday nite test-n-tune from 5pm on, but I don't know what it would take for them to set up a "Fiero-only" test and tune for a few hours. Also, one year the swapmeet was on the same weekend as a big event there, and they didn't even run the regular test n tunes that weekend. Their schedule doesn't go out far enough to know, yet, but I'll be in contact with them in the next month or so, and let everyone know.
At this point, the dyno is what I really need feedback on; you're only the third person I've heard from that's interested. If I can't get 10-15 "maybe's", I don't think it's worth trying to set up. I'll get more info on the track either way.
That's cool Jeremy!!! Whether or not they would set-up a "Fiero only" race, it would still be something to do on Friday night, IF they're running the "Test & Tune". Keep us posted even if it's just their regular schedule. Would be more fun to me to run against other cars anyway. And , the DYNO was fun too. I'll be around for both !! Hopefully someone will have a 3800SC there this year besides my 'ol Bonneville, LOL. Traded it off anyway, now have a '02 GTP , but really not planning on bringing it this time around.

My friend Bob and I will be back again this year. I am out of 'personal leave' days at work, so I might have to **cough, cough** get sick on Friday I may try to bring one of the 4.5 TBI cars to see how embarassing it would be on the dyno.
I'm coming to buy stuff and to bring one to leave for Ed & staff to fix x-manifold leak............Hummmmm, I wonder if they will do it while I wait ? See ya'll there BTW, I recently added an 88 GT to the stable........Bought it from "RONNIE" ------------------ Tommy C....84 4spd, 84 SE Auto, 85 GT, 86 SE V6, 87 GT

You realize, of course, that you, and a hundred other people, wonder the same thing...which is why I and the other employees of the shop are always present, but rarely "attend", the swapmeet. Friday and Saturday have traditionally been "working" days for us. Give Ed a call or Email to find out what scheduling is like...mainfolds are tough, because a broken bolt can hold things up while we wait for our welder to come extract the bolt, which may be a problem on a "while you wait" job.
But yes, we are "open for business" Friday and Saturday. Schedule usually fills up pretty quick, so let us know!

I'd have to agree w/ Ronnie, it'd be more fun for us Fiero guys to race against non Fiero types.

Hmmmmmm......If I come down in the convertible and you are "open" on Friday and Saturday, does that mean you'll be able to re-wire the thing AND install the bigger gas tank?!? Count me in!
OK.....maybe not, but I am going to try and attend this one. It's been a few years since I last made it to the swap meet (that's what going back to school does for ya).

Sure, no problem. And, for letting me do that, I'll just go ahead and give you my personal Slalom front suspension, 12" Wilwoods, and remount the N* on an '88 cradle while you're here, if that's OK with you.
Of course, you realize, those last few things will require me holding on to the car for, say, 10 years or so, to make sure all the bugs are worked out...
Now that we're BOTH done dreaming...hope to see you here! I assume I can count you as a vote for the Dyno Day?
If you're serious about making it down, and wanting a larger gas tank, let me know ASAP, and I'll see if I can't schedule that in for you. Really.

Although I have already dyno'd the convertible, I will likely join the party down there.....why not?
As for the gas tank.....if it is possible for us to install it over that weekend then I will 100% guarantee that I will make it down there. I already have the gas tank from an '87 GT.....it just needs to be installed. LMK!
It may only be an additional 2 gallons, but it would make a HUGE difference on road trips (that extra 50 miles or so will come in handy).
Thanks.

My wife and I will be there for sure. We will bring the 4.9 again, and maybe her 3.4dohc. If there is a dyno day, I will be there again so I can measure the changes from last year. If the track is open, I will be the first in line. I love to beat on my car (ask all the people around here).
