*rocks out* After talking with a fellow member on PFF a couple times we made a set a day out(this past Saturday, the 8th) for him to come over & pick my Fiero up & we would go to his huge garage shop. Paul aka R Runner as the owner of his awesome car the IMSA Fiero Race car came to help. First off, if anyone of you didn't know, I was having some pretty bad clutch problems and a 2nd problme of the car shaking at high speeds. But our goal was to at least beable to drive the car safely, and be driveable. No messing around with tiddily stuff. So Saturday morning came, and Paul knocked on the door at 8 a.m. as planned(I woke up AT 8, when I was suppose to be up at 7 lol)
Well here's some pictures:
Starting up, first day of snow and loading the Fiero onto the trailer -
Packing up to go, off to Pauls shop! -
This is basically what we looked at while working on the Fiero, we replaced the slave cyclinder from the FieroStore and bled the clutch.
We finally got the Fiero going!!! We went for a test drive down Paul's road and it worked!! I remained pretty calm, but I wanted to jump up & down and yell like it was New Years I was so excited even though I didn't show it. Paul pulled over, and I drove it back, it was the greatest feeling ever, I can't explain it. I woulda took pictures of us doing the first test drive but I was just to caught up in excitement!
We got back, and we put the car on the lift and tackled the shaking of the rear at high speeds. As Paul guessed, there was a few bolts unloose(I think cradle? Sorry I was still excited lol)
After we tightened a few bolts, and replaced a pin on the passenger side I decided to take a few pictures of it up on the lift.
I took a couple more pictures of other things(look at the picture preview in the first post) but will post them upon request.
So after doing some things we loaded the Fiero up onto the trailer again!
Ahh the presence of a great Fiero next to my Fiero lol -

Nice & tightly packed in again, we get ready to go but not without enjoying some good pizza that Paul's wife cooked lol.
We arrived at my house at about 6 p.m.(Its about an hour drive with the trailer loaded) unloaded and home!!
There's some loose ends that need to be tied, but our goal was to at least get the car driveable, which we suceeded and fixed the suspension problem. I need to get better at driving a stick, but I didn't do to bad when Paul & I did both test runs. I would just like to thank this great community for really sparking my on going interest into Fieros and meeting plenty of new friends! I greatly appreciated Paul's extremely generous offer to come & pick up my Fiero and take it to his shop while we(more like he did all the work lol) fixed it all for free and him & his wives nice hospitality(and pizza ) and I definetly owe the two of them a present(Paul when you read this I need your adress so I can send you it). I greatly appreciate all my other Fiero friends and people who helped me with tips and etc like Adam, Rich, Jason and MANY OTHERS that all helped. I had a awesome Fiero day at Paul's learnin all sorts of cool Fiero things and him showing me cool Fiero stuff & videos that are awesome. Once again, I thank all of you & Cliff for this awesome Forum. Sorry I posted this so late, but I just be tied up with my Fiero and loving it more everyday despite the problems that will come eventually it's still a great car.

PS - OH OOH I forgot!! I made a small video of Paul pulling the Fiero up and then reversing it into my driveway and it just wondered where I can host it at?? For some reason, the file type is "file" and when you click on it the only application(you have to choose) it works for is Windows.....so yeah. Anyone know where I can host it permanently, like how I host my pictures on photobucket. Thanks.

Way to go! Glad you got it going, and a big WOOHOO for Paul. That was an extremely nice gesture on his part. Glad to see it all worked out.
You also got to see the IMSA monster Fiero up close. Lucky dog!! I wish I had the time to play like that.
Yeah it is a extremely nice gesture. He's the man lol. It was really cool seing the IMSA up close & the videos and LOTS & LOTS of cool Fiero stuff he showed me.
Also yes it is spray painted silver, it looks better in person IMO.

I'm glad you got it sorted out. I still remember your post when you went to pick it up. Yeah. Paul is a good guy! I still remember talking with him when he brought his race car to the 20th. Wicked machine that it is.

I got the chance to meet Paul at Wheatstock. He, John and Chris Stricker, Blake Moore and his wife , and I went out to dinner the first night there. Paul is an EXTREMELY nice guy, and knows his stuff...how could you not, when you own the coolest IMSA car in existence! I also got a chance to meet his wife and daughter...just an all around neat family. It doesn't surprise me that he offered to help...he's just that kind of guy.

Aww shucks... you ain't too bad yourself. And I agree with the sentiments of Paul. He is undoubtedly one of the nicest fiero friends I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. And he doesn't make fun of me like that mean ole Stricker fella.

Snif.... Snif.... You guys are going to make me cry.
Congratulations Josh! I would find any and every excuse to practice driving that stick. ESPECIALLY before March. You did great on your 1st gear starts once youi got the hang of it. Just practice. You'll get smooth real quick.
What comes around goes around. This weekend two Fiero friends from St. Louis are going to drive 100 miles out of their way to help me pull the engine in the blue car to fix the tapping noise. This community is great!
Josh, the best way to thank me is to enjoy your car. For those of you out there who don't know, Josh has enlisted in the army and is going to help serve this great nation of ours in just a few short months. My hat is off to you sir. Josh is the real hero here.
As for Mike and Blake, I too enjoyed our dinner (heck the whole weekend) together. I wish we could do it more often.
I'm glad you are enjoying it so much!

Yeah I'm glad to have this forum, very helpful fellow community. And the color is, (can't remember what brand) chrome infact lol. It's just that shiney cause it was just done the day before but will fade to a normal looking silver(which it sorta is right now). Yeah Paul had so much cool stuff to tell me while we were working & go to & from my house. It was a great day that I will definetly remember.

I plan on driving the car for no reason so I can practice the driving the stick as soon as I get the title back from Jason so I can get plates & etc. Don't wanna get pulled over lol. I definetly enjoy my "new" Fiero now, but I still feel like I have to get you & your wife at least a gift certificate for dinner or something. I'll feel bad without paying you back in someway(well besides driving it like you said ) Yeah I plan on driving it like crazy before April(end of March is when I can sign up, the 30th but basically April *shrug*) and I am definetly not the hero here at all lol. Your the hero for fixing my Fiero. Once again, thanks man.
