I bought this Red Formula automatic from Darrell Morse the day after Thanksgiving. It had 130,000 miles on the clock (over 131,000 now), A/C, cruise, and an aftermarket sunroof. Pretty bare bones. I've been driving it to work everyday for the last week, and it's been doing well (140 miles roundtrip, per day).

Litespd had posted some pics of it the day after we unloaded it, but I hadn't even touched it yet, so I'm putting up some pics of it now that it is clean, buffed, waxed, and ready for lookers.

A side shot (the Formula sticker is now gone, it was badly worn in spots, and the driver side was missing)

A rear view, with my shop in the background.

The interior.

The engine compartment. Notice the custom "Formula" engraved intake plenum, and strut tower bar.

Finally, the underhood compartment, complete with a spare tire cover, and polished A/C accumulator.

Thanks for looking!

Looks nice, Nic! Who took the pictures, seeing as how you're too cheap to buy a digital camera?

I did! I used a cheapy disposable camera ($8), and had it developed with double prints and a CD in 1 hr. at Wal-Mart ($15). Now, I complain about being cheap all the time, yet if I were to do this no more than ten times (which I have already), I could have bought a digital camera. So yes, I'm stupid.

Travis,

Thanks for the compliments, it wasn't quite as clean when you were here, as these pics were taken earlier that week, (Monday before, when it snowed about 2 inches in the grass).

Good luck with your engine... I remember you saying that you didn't plan to use the A/C, if I had been thinking, I would have snatched the compressor if you didn't want it, as I think my Formula is going to need one next year.

It is a good thing the car has cruise, but I still haven't gotten it working fully. I installed a new servo and it started working, kind of... It was real jerky going up and down hills, so I checked the vacuum lines and found that one was heavily plugged. Now it doesn't work at all again. I've since lost interest, and plan to mess with it more once the snow gets so deep I have to drive my pickup to Omaha everyday. But, the Formula has made the daily commute to Omaha a little more fun for the past week.

Man that thing is nice! One question, Did the formula's come with the formula logo engraved from the factory or is it a custom job? Pretty neat idea with the plenum.

No they didn't come this way. It was done by a previous owner.
