I drove what will probably be my future Fiero. I was shaking so bad I was nervous, afraid, excited, and in love.

The initial climbing into the cockpit felt like a normal Fiero. When i sat down my body thought ahhh the Fiero! With a turn of that ignition, the feel of the performance clutch, and the extra sensative gas pedal my senses were in shock. We easied out of the garage and went to make a right turn on the main road. I was going very very easy on it shifting at about 2,000. Then I came up to a stop light where I was waiting for it to turn green to make a right turn onto H1 the main highway here on the Island of Oahu. I turned right and start heading down the road that leads to the final exit to get onto the highway. As I turn he asks why am I treating the car like a baby and he tells me to drop it into 2nd and hammer the gas. The feel of the grip it had was the biggest rush I have ever had. Feeling the 4brl carb just open up... orgasim. Then when we got onto the highway everyone that drove by was paying more attention to the car than where they were driving. I think it may have been the corvette tail lights and the 7'' wing stands. It was a great feeling to be behind the wheel of a car everyone is looking at in awe and giving you the thumbs up. Then I made the turn around and started down the opposite direction of the highway. As we were traveling I see a sparkle of blue. Ahh a challenger. A very thugish looking kid driving a brand new acura RSX with a 2fast 2furious wavy wing on the back is getting closer. The owner of the car asked why i was slowing down and looked at me and noticed i was looking in the mirror. He didn't have to say anything after that he knew what was gonna happen. As soon as i made eye contact with the driver i look forward and go from 5th to 4th gear and gun it. I smoked him so bad he didn't even have time to relize what he was about to get smoked by. I was shaking when we pulled back into his shop. Then we went to his office and talked business. He said something that really freaked me out. He said I should have went to 3rd not 4th and really spanked that guy. I thought to myself this guy is nuts!! Well looks like I gotta get used to having a wing in the mirror and the fastback windows....

Millenium,
That was shameless! You need to exercise more patience and compasion toward your challenger, instead of picking him off like a fly on the wall. You should have cruised down to his speed, then do a couple of figure eights around his car and pull to his side and wait for him to acknowledge your presence. Then give him a 5 second headstart when he starts to accelerate and just blow his doors off. Of course, maybe you were more surprised than the Acura was.

Very nice lookin Fiero. Which V8 and tranny does it have? Was it built in Hawaii or back on the mainland?

It has the stock 5 fiero 5 speed and i'm not sure what type of V8 but its an older V8 with some work and rev limit of 6,000. It also has polly brushing all around and performance suspension with a big brake setup from a 90's camero. Only thing I dont like about the car is the formula front on the fast back. He glass over all the black side pieces on the front facia but I still plan on putting the regular GT fascia on there and putting a chin on it. *drool*

Also it was build here in hawaii by a local guy using an archie kit. This was his 3rd kit he has done. He showed me the 2nd one he did... double carbed... *double drool* I got to see the original engine that was in this white monster. It was a 2.8 stroked into a 3.1 with a 4brl carb. He blew the seals racing with some laughing gas and decided to pull the engine to rebuild it and said ahh f**k it and put the v8 in there.

Why would my gunny care if it was a V8 or not. Only person that matters is my SSGT that has a R/T-10 Viper and my other SSGT that keeps telling me Fiero's suck that drives a Nissan Sentra SE-R. My command here in hawaii is very very small there is a total of like 80-100 Marines here. I live in a Navy barracks so I have my own room, kitchen, bathroom and balcony over looking Pearl Harbor. There is no duty to be served <--only the salty dogs will know what that is. None of the higher ranking guys live around where we all live and have no reason to come over here so we pretty much do what we want.

There is a reason why people call the owner of that white V8 "Mad Man Sato" - people that takes rides with him (with him driving) inevitably get out of the car not wanting to get back in! And I've heard this from multiple people around the island over the years! But he's a great guy, knows his stuff. Would be an amazing if you bought it! If you do pick it up, we'll have to have another Fiero owners get together

Excellent!

Personally, I like the Formula fascia. I'd paint the trim black again, though.

this weekend ... he is changing out the valve seals and making sure the suspension is perfect he doesn't wanna give me a lemon car. He knows when I'm done with here in hawaii I'm gonna take the car back to the mainland so he feels like his reputation is on the line.
