Two more videos of LilDevil spanking some rice at a NOPI race. The 240 is actually a friend of ours and it is WICKED fast, look at the trap speed. It doesn't spin, but BOGS real bad off the line. Turbo lag? They raced two or three times that day with the same results. Devil got such a huge lead, it was just too much to overcome in a 1/4 mile. But if it were 50 feet longer Devil woulda lost. The civic is a motor swap. Not sure if it is a B16 or B18. Either way he didn't have a chance. bet he was rethinking that motor swap! These runs were with is old exhaust. Much louder.

With all due respect, that 240 may be Japanese, but it's not rice. 12.45 @ 120 mph is very respectable for any car. I know nothing I own could come close to that in the 1/4 mile.

I have much respect for that guys 240 SX and a few eclipses that run at the track. The 240 has alot done to it and its getting some new cams the last i heard. He wouldn't open the hood to let me look at the engine though. It was like he may have been hiding something. Even though we are friends and we were parked next to eachother the whole day. And it was almost 100 degrees, he didn't open the hood to cool it down at all. Kinda made me think. But enjoy these. and as long as DOTC is willing we have some others that may interest you guys.
Delaware...no more mods this season I don't think. I still think i can get a 11 sec timeslip with this setup according to the MPH i am getting. Traction is the issue. Over the winter a diff and a VS cam will hopefully be installed. Then probably a PCM upgrade. 11.5's is what I hpe to get next year and thats it. i am calling it quits as mods to the engine are concerned. although a NOS injected 3800SC interests me it will have to wait til a new house and some other things are taken care of.
I've heard so much about the b-1? swap being the sh*t in a civic. From the look of that video i wouldn't hessitate to take on a civic with that swap. Does the 240 run like that on the street or does he have to detune it to use normal gas? I got to give it to the nissan a 120 mph trap is hauling a$$. Don't worry though I'll still cheer for the devil no matter what he's up against, and hey a win is a win. Keep up the good work.

When I was building my mustang I used to get beat by a turboed 240sx every week. When my car was stock and he had a basic turbo kit, he bearly beat me, and everytime I moded my car, he had somthing new also and would edge me out everytime. I used to hate it.
I’m betting the 240SX guy has a SR20DET motor swap. It seems to be a very popular swap. Those motors are amazing. They range anywhere from 200-260hp in stock form, depending on which vehicle they originally came in. That’s at least the last I’ve heard, they may have a bit more now. 280hp is easily obtainable, with minor mods. In general, these motors are capable of handling up to 400+hp on stock forged internals, not to mention, sport internal oil squirters for the bottom side of the pistons. The demand for these engines has increased dramatically, incidentally causing a rise in automobile thefts in Japan, specifically those equipped with SR20DETs.
Anyways, great kill!!!
Lildevil: Are you using street tires?
Soulcrusher: I am also not getting any sound.
Thank you, for the great videos. Please, keep them coming
My runs are on 235 Nitto 555 street tires. I tried Drag Radials and they were worse. i am goin to try them one more time this weekend and see if i can them to hook. i think the sound was missing when we sent them to DOTTC . Should we redo them or not worry about it?

I didn’t mean to drag this back up, but I just wanted to say thanks for replying Lildevil. That’s amazing that your getting those times on street tires. As for adding the sound, it didn’t bother me one bit, I got the idea as I’m sure others did as well You might want it with sound for your own collection though. I’m just happy every time a new Fiero video pops up. Please tell DOTTC his work is appreciated.
If there is any everyday production Japanese car that gets a nod from me at all.....its the Nissan 240SX and 300ZXs....all of them...all years. Great looks, good balance, well designed RWD platform and jam up engines. And every Nissan I've ever driven has wonderful brakes!
