here's the scoops im working on right now (bout half done)
hoping to have them done and on the car for the fiero fiesta next weekend but dunno, since this is really my first time working with glass.
You well also need to cut slots along the front end of the side panels were it meets the door. Two to four 1 1/2" slots will do. Why slots? Depending on the amount of curviture you use, the greater the increase the greater the mis-alignment or bulging out. Also remove old stock vent and replace with a fiber-glass piece. You will also need to remove a cut out black plastic box on the outside of air cleaner between the body and outer skin.
Personally I think you cut to far back at the bottom. It looks better if you have a slight slant flowing into the stock rocker panels IMO.
Check the Westfest for a better pics of my vents.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time when you build a front or rearbumper...In a way I built them 3times too: the mockup, the mold(s) and the final product. And lots of small changes during the process.....good luck!

Here is a few pics of a design I created, using parts of cars I found at a local salvage yard. Everything is from the yard except the side scoops. The one thing that you can't see in the photos is the 85 Ford Mustang hood scoop on the rear deck lid.
Don - nice work... I really like the rear diffuser & hood vents. Well done!
I didn't really "create" anything new for my car - it was really mostly just standard aftermarket or at the most "modded" aftermarket pieces....
The hood vent was designed & produced by Rockcrawl. The front air dam was "created" by Lawrence Mazza and made popular by Skitime. The 1/4 scoops are from Fieroshop.com.au The 'stang deck scoop from the Fibersmith. High wing stands from Sage/Fierowarehouse. And finally the most "handwork" I probably did was on the M3-style rockers (a mod sorted out by RadRuss using fiberglass parts originally designed for an early 90's Honda).
I've got a few more "unique" ideas... but nothing I really intend to spend time on for quite awhile
