N.I.F.E. is proud to announce that we will be throwing our Fierorama show on sunday, Sept. 12th, 2004. This will be our 9th year! Fierorama would not be possible without the kind donations by the following vendors:
1. V8 Archie. Archie's been building V8 Fieros longer then Pontiac built the car itself. Besides his famous V8 kits, Archie also offers many rebodies like the Fino, Finale, and exciting new GT40. He even does a chop top. Take a look at his site for more information at: www.v8archie.com 2. The Fiero Store. The Fiero store carries tons of parts for the Fiero, they have extremely fast shipping, good customer support, and even offer a 10% discount on any non GM parts to anyone belonging to a Fiero club. They consider Pennocks a Fiero club. Check out their website at: www.fierostore.com 3. Twin Lakes Fiero. Fiero Bob, who owns Twin Lakes, does everything for Fieros; engine swaps, paint, trans work, body work, parts, and even sells Fieros. He's a one stop Fiero shop. Check out Twin Lakes' web site at: www.twinlakesfiero.com 4. Performance Powder Coating. This is not only a powdercoating business but he also does ceramic coating as well. Several NIFE members including myself have used this business and have been more then happy with the fine work the owner, Terry Peterson, does. Check out Performance Powder Coating at their website at: www.powder-coat.com 5. Village Pontiac of Naperville Illinois. The owner of this dealership owns an all original low mile Fiero. He may bring it to the show along with a few Pontiacs that the dealership wants to showcase at our show. You can check out their great deals on Pontiacs at their website: www.villagepmd.com 6. Meguiars car care products. Yep, the same people who make the fine car care products most of us use on our Fieros to keep them looking great are also sponsoring our show. Check out their products on their website at: http://www.meguiars.com/
This thread is mainly to thank the generousity of all these fine vendors for their contrabutions to our show. Without them, this show would not be possible. Their kind donations allow us to keep this show FREE to all NIFE members so, if you need a product that any of them sell, please show your gratitude and buy from them. There are many vendors who are donating door prizes but these people above are the ones who put fourth the money that makes this show possible and free to our membership. We hope to have the biggest Fierorama yet this year and we owe it all to the kindness of the above sponsors.
Speaking of Fierorama, Maybe you can answer a question for me. I received the newsletter with the Fierorama registration form, I need to know what class to register in. They are the "Custom/Mod" class which is more than 6 mods then there is the "Modified" which is noted as major engine and body kits and lists QUAD4, 3800, and V-8's.
Are the 3.1L and 3.4L engined cars part of the Custom/Mod class or the Modified class?

hi i went last year for first time it was a blast............... performance powder caoting did my manifolds and y pipe , excellent work.... twin lakes and bob stieger.......excellent works...... and dont forget Rodney, i bought some parts last year at fiero ramma, excellent to deal with.....
I have no idea about any electric Fiero. First time i heard about it.
Oreif: The 3.4 is not considered a viewable mod since it can pass as a stock 2.8 if you just look at it. The class you go in, when you're modded, all depends on how many "viewable mods" you have. The 3.1 and 3.4 are not considered a major engine swap or a viewable mod. We spent hours debating this at the board meetings.
Haze: a project class wouldn't be a bad idea. This is something that the membership should bring up if you'd like one. We get very little input from any of the members so any suggestions like this are good to hear. I would also like to see a project class although there are sometimes bad feelings from participants about this. Namely because people who should not be in project class end up putting their car in there and the ones who should be in that class are/get upset. However, i will bring the idea up at the next board meeting.

Hmmm... I know my GT was once sold through a dealer in Naperville (but I don't recall if that's when it was new or used) - could've been from them!

I think a project class is always a good idea - but after being in them for the past 2 years, I would... wouldn't I
Really though, I definitely encourage you to set the class up - whether it's a popular-vote catagory, or even just a "display" class with a "diamond-in-the-rough" type award or something along those lines - it'd be a great way to bring in another group of not-quite-show-quality daily-driven Fieros... much like mine has been!
Oh yeah - I've attended the Fierorama show for the past 3 years... and I've got no plans to miss this one either! As a matter of fact, Fierorama was the 1st show I attended after joining PFF... wow, what a difference it made in how many people I met and how many people knew me when I arrived!

I'm glad to see nput like this. We're always happy to hear both good and bad about the show so we can improve. I think it would be a sign of the apocalypse if you actually do paint your car Rob.
Edit; forgot to comment on the Naperville dealer thing. As far as i know, Village is the only Pontiac dealer in Naperville for many years. I've never heard of any other Pontiac dealer there.

I'd like to propose a "Paint Rob's car class". If everyone that attends Fierorama brings one shaker can, we should have enough paint to give you several coats.
You've had that thing looking so good, and so close to completion for too long now. I agree with Dave, I think you're due to get your car painted and call it complete!

Well... aside from still needing to install the bigger engine - I'll call it complete for the time being then (at least the body) ...look for an update this weekend!
