My weekend arrived today, a day early, so I spent the afternoon fabricating the mount for an engine bay cooling fan installation.
These are the brackets, with rubber mounts installed, where the fan support frame will mount. The mounts are anti-vibe handle mounts intended for a Husky 266 chainsaw, and worked perfectly for this application.
And this is with the fan installed and the main wire harness connectors bracket relocated and secured.
Tomorrow I'll disassemble and paint.

Where are you blowing the air to or from? Do you have a vent on the passenger side to pull in cool air or something? Looks like a nice idea, just not sure how the air is going to flow.

Cool air is drawn in from under the car, in front of the wheel tub. If you stick a hand up under the area in front of the wheel tub you'll find a large opening. At some point in the future I'll cut in a side scoop, (more for looks than anything) but it's not really required. Air exits from the sewer grates.
I don't know how much air it pulls from under the car... Just to be safe you might want to do something or at least check to make sure it can't suck in a plastic bag or crap like that. Those damn bags are always blowing around near shopping centers and stuff.

I'm doing the electrical now, and have decided to get a little creative. The fan will run at a slower speed, by running through an 84 rad fan resistor, all the time. Except when the radiator fan kicks in, that will also bypass the resistor to run the engine bay fan at full speed.

I sure feel tired for as little as it _looks_ like I accomplished today . It took a lot longer that I expected to fabricate a couple more brackets for the fuel pressure regulator and the new relays to control the fan. then clean, paint and reassemble everything and plumb a fuel line and return line. All the pieces are there now however, just waiting for some wires to connect them all together. tomorrow...........
