I'm guessing he would re-direct the air from the vents to go somewhere else?

Not gauges... But a DVD player... No.. I don't miss the center vents.... You know how you wonder why they even put the side vents in cuz they don't even put out much air?
Well, now think what would happen to all the air if the center vent was closed off!! You get all the air out the side vents & it goes all the way around you. I don't miss or think "why did I do that, I miss the center vent." Here are a few pics of it...
Thanks, Chris.

This is something I was working on that I have not finished yet.

It's a laser cut face with the factory type bevel around the cutouts.

Thanks...
After posting this I got the urge to finish this project. What you can't see in the picture is that the vent is just sitting in there, so last night I made a plexy glass box for it to pivot in and epoxyed it to the back. Now it just needs paint and a couple of gauges.

What are you thinking of doing?

I installed and 02 reader in the Passenger side vent. The car is topless without heat or AC, so the vent was the logical spot to put it.

Here is a pic of the Roadster, it still needs paint! It has a 4.5 V8/isuzu 5 speed.

The 4.5 is a from a 90 Deville. The injector ports were filled with epoxy and it runs a holley projection system with the controls relocated to the DS ash tray.

Thanks for the compliments on the Roadster. It has been a project off an on since Jan 1 of 2000 and it still has a couple more years of work ahead of it. But it is a fun summer time toy!

Here is the pic of the engine and the remote located controls for the projection unit.
