Well, here are the pictures that I finally got around to posting. It should be noted that the car isnt wetsanded and buffed all of the way. The day was rainy and cloudy, and the car isnt clean. Oh well, you still get to see my piece of work that I didnt do.. HEHE All of the trim has been changed into the stock 87 blue as well for the "more flowing look" If your wondering what to call the airbrushing.. it could be a form of scallops if you want to call them that, but their not even really scallops. Gotta love those GT lines! Now it needs rims! Any feed back? Any picture requests? questions, or anything? Anyone in WI interested in paint work? PM me, I'll give you his number, he'll do WHATEVER you want!

BTW, you can see the 86 GT sitting in the garage with a blown tranny, awaiting a 3800 SC series 2 swap.. *sigh* donations accepted! Just so you know.. the silver is actually Pearl silver, not the stock silver. Well, goodnight Fiero-world! Here's a before pic of my dads gt: and here's one of the 86 GT that has also been re-painted

HAHA, yeah.. I realized not everyone would like it, in fact my dad (this is actually his car) said that he didnt like it at first, but it came around to him. Its hard to please everyone with custom paint. Anymore feedback?

i think it looks pretty cool. but yes you do need some silver 16-17in rims on that baby, then it need to be lowered an inch or two. did you use the color code when it was re-painted or did you have them match up the blue...seems a bit deeper blue than stock

Yeah, I know rims are needed.. I have to talk my dad into that. He'll never lower it, he likes the softer ride It might make an appearance at the Dell's i need it to be running 100 percent though, no more of this crappy accelerating that it has been having. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/034755.html The color is stock 87 blue. It might appear darker because of the lighting that day, and the fact that the digital camera is bad. It might also be because its not faded
the graphite is actually straight black, but its through an airbrush, so it might appear more "graphity" (is that a word?). I was personally thinking of gunmetal rims. It's my dads car though, im not spending my $$$ on it. I've gotta save for my 3800 swap!
Well, you are looking for comments so I suppose I will post some.
It looks nice, I do look cars properly done up with the air brush technique. My buddies Talon is just getting done with a (more elaborate) job with skulls and clowns in the paint, tribal graphics and such. The one thing I didn't like about his, although still AWESOME, was his lower ground effects and into the bottom door were a different color. That's basically how yours is, with those "streaks" going down the side I would really like the look if they kinda of blended into the bottom of the car. Not into the same color ground effects.
But, hey, I'm just not a fan of the grey ground effects, I like the monochrome thing! :P
Nice car though, and here's a free bump (and positive rating) for you!

Hey thanks man!
Each to his own on the ground effects. I know that i didnt like them when they were just the pearl silver so i had him shoot the metal look in them to help them blend in.
a positive for you as well!

Wow! That's awesome, I was thinking about something along the same lines. But haven't found anyone to do it yet. Good thing you live so far away I don't want you to think I was copying you when I actually have it done! How much did it run you to have it done?? Jason

well i had my buddy paint it for me ( www.kurtcarloni.com ). I did all of the prep work and some of the wet sanding in between coats and the final buffing and everything. It ran 600 dollars with materials. Thats pretty damn good!
If you can find someone that will let you do everything except for the actual painting i think that you should be able to get somewhere around there.. if not maybe like 1500-2000 is what he told me he'd normally charge i think.
As for the gozilla thing, never got that comment before! It usually gets called iceberg or something like that. Its kinda like rips in the paint, with the metal look underneath, but since the fiero isnt metal its kinda funny . Thanks for the positive feedback though! And my friend is right when you ride around in this thing everyones eyes are on it! I love it!!!
I went to a gas station the other day and there was a minivan parked net to me, all of the sudden i have like 5 girls come out of it hitting on me cause they thought i had a cool car! I was like, NICE!! My girlfriend actually wants to ride in my car now lol.
