Maybe I won't! Maybe you'll just have to show up at the club next Thursday to see it.

BTW, it was in the booth last night and they ran out of paint. The yellow is so thin that 3 coats didnt' cover it well enough. I am getting more paint this morning and we'll get it finished.

Your car is looking great! I feel your pain... BlueGT has at least 6 coats of basecoat. It is a real PITA to have that many layers of paint. Can't wait to see your finished product.

ahah, looks like ill come to you voytek when I need advice on how to do something... your doing everything I want done to my car :P haha Yellow still? good choice

Question.. Did you use some sorta solvent on the body panels to get the paint off, or did you sand everything?

Thanks for all the compliments to all!!

Yes, the car will be... er... IS yellow AGAIN!! I have been putting it back together all day today and will be at least another day. I probably won't have finished pics for a few more days yet, since I'm trying to have it ALL done (including the little grilles in all of the openings).

To answer your question, I sanded almost all of the original yellow off the car. The previous paint was really bad. I took it off all the flexible panels and most hard panels.

Just so you know, the car looks AMAZING! (to me, anyway ).

Stay tuned!

Sweet! Looks like it turned out great - great work Voytek!

Looks like you might be needing a new signature soon (BTW: where's the front trim?)

Thanks.

You're right - it's still missing parts because I haven't got around to finishing it.

I need to remove the front to install the little pieces and a couple clips for the marker lights that are missing.

It also still needs other work like grilles in the openings. I picked up some nice mesh from FieroSound last night and will install this weekend.

Also, the car will get front spoiler treatment so when it's all done maybe we'll post a couple more pics.

Thanks for all the complements guys. Sorry for not responding - I don't have the internet at home (I'm back at work now!!).

Yes, I do have some engine mods. I have it bored and stroked to 3.1 with performance cam, Sprint headers and a turbo. Exhaust is just missing the cat (for now).

Exoticse - no, I won't be doing another car (at least not for a long time ). This one took about 7 months to complete (body only). Ok, it could have been less if I'd spent more time on it but I still need to have a life... wait... the car IS my life. (I'm kidding of course).

BTW, the rims are 17x7" Katana (you can find them on WheelMax) - with 1/2" spacers and longer lugs on the back (to bring them out more flush with the skirts). Tires are 215/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear.

Thanks again and LATER DUDES!!
