I just recieved and installed a SD4 valve cover on my Duke. It seems to fit till you close the dec lid. I used the gasket that it came with and coted each side with blue gasket material(rtv)--no leaks. Without the gasket the cover would not fit because of the temp sensor for the tem gage. Now I have to file down the top of the cover and bottom of the right hand hinge of the deck lid. this will make valve related work very easy. Photos at 10:00

Congratulations. I've got one too on my '84 SE.
When I installed mine I moved the temp gauge sending unit to the thermostat housing. A buddy of mine welded another bung on the housing for it. As far as the interference at the hinge I just removed the torsion bars and went with a Rodney Dickman strut to hold up my decklid. What are you doing with your PCV valve?
Here's a couple of pictures of my install.

T-Top,
I driller a large hole in the front of the cover, simaler to yours. The mistake I made was not positioning the cover then drilling the hole. Mine is next to the dogbone. I got new hose and re-ran it.
How did you run your spark plug wires. For cyclindars 1 & 2 did you go over the oil fil neck or under it. I had mine under and they where too close to the hooker manafold and opened up while dirving. Feels kind of funny running on 2 cyclandars. No power, cannot get above 40mph and mu exhaust was "lean". That bites the big one.

I run those two spark plug wires over the top of the oil filler neck. There is a nice little space there between the neck of the filler and the front side of the cover.

You have two choices if you are looking for a new SD valve cover.
The GM part # is 10031327. Gmpartsdirect has it listed for $131.51.
The Edelbrock part # is 4257. Summit has it for $97.95.
They are both the same thing.

Ah, thank you.

I was about to order one from Summit today, but I wasn't sure if it was the same as the GM one.

Sure isn't. It's a discontinued Edelbrock intake. I think there's a similar one in the GM Performance parts catalog. I just found this today: http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/Intake_Manifolds/4-6V.html

Part #10038470 at the top of the page.
