Looking good smooth, keep up the good work. You should try and get some honey comb screening for the openings, that would look kick ass.

Well I think they both look good...I like the squared version better, however, it's my opinion aginst everyone elses
...as a matter of fact...they both look like they will have the potential to be awesome looking...Itherway thats probably the most unique hood i've ever seen on a fiero.
Looking good, but will you be able to open the hood all the way, or will the hit the front compartment?
I have had to 'notch' the front compartment about 5" deep and have drain holes in the very bottom of the sparetire compartment. I used the OEM rubber seal back on top.
Thank's everyone for their comment's.
ps. I now see that changing the hood design is going to make me change the front fascia upper(middle-top) vent's.... see fascia below:

Wow... Thank's, but ;like I said, I NOW need to modify the front opening's on the fascia for it to 'flow' correctly with the hood now being rounded like it is! Oh, Thank's for the +, you have one too!!
Smooth!!

Saw your nose Looks great .I Like the sides .How are you going to mount it to the bottom of the frame .Are you going to make duck work so all the air goes into the radiator. We tilted the radiator on mine and did that it cooled the motor so it runs at 190 -200 at the most just sitting there in traffic at the beach. The hood is cool mutch more radicial then mine. I used a fireplace screen to fill in the openings .On your openings you have to make a little bump on the openings to create a suction to draw the air out of the radiator. It doesn't have to be to high .I put a plastic panel 1/2 way down the radiator to the wheel well panel so half of the hot air would go out the hood scoop & the rest out the bottom. Let me know

Hey, glad you made it back.... I am using small angle iron type mount's for the bottom and side's... Yes, I'm going to duct the side scoop's on the fascia to the front brake's.... I have all the part's just need to get to it toward the end of the project!! I don't understand about the 'bumps' for the opening's to create vacuum....... Hmmm... explain it with a few picture's if you don't mind!!

I think what he means is to place a bump or flare on top of the leading edge of your vent openings. In theory this should create a low pressure point above the vent opening and assist in pulling air through the opening. Basically, like an aircraft wing creats lift. However, I believe that this area of the hood will already be a low pressure area so a flare may be redundant.
I had a 72 'Cuda when I was a kid and it burned oil like I owned a well. The car had a spoiler on the rear of the car and it created a such a low pressure point behind the car that it would suck the unburned oil comming from the tail pipes and cover the rear facia. Kinda the same principle.

hi Mr Fixit58 (Roy) has the right idear The race car guys that I know that run sport cars use this method all the time. I think it depends on the nose of the car.Roys car had a flat nose different air flow. On mine I was getting the back dirty from the exhaust until i put on the wing. That made a big difference then I built the front air dam and it got rid of it for good . I Hope to show you how I did mine ,Ill take some pic later.

Are you trying to build a car or a road kill animal triturator??? LOL I can image it, a cat in the road, you aim at it right in the center, the cat get traped in by the huge opening in the bumper, then the sharp razor blades fins from the upgraded radiator ran do its job, finally the cat is spilled from the hood vents converted in sushi. LOLOLOL!!!!!
Nice mods Smooth, keep the good work one.
