well, 3 of the lug nut studs decided they did not want to be on my fiero anymore... so they decided to pop off at 55 MPH.... luckly 1 lug nut was still holding the wheel on. for some reason or another, i only had 4 lug nuts on the car... so we towed it home today... time to go get it in the garage and start working...

Hate to be critical, but those wheels are not correctly setup for the fiero bolt pattern and or to use the fiero nuts. There should be little to no gap around the studs and I don't see a coned receiver in the wheel to go with the nut you are using.

That's a pretty dangerous setup!!!

wiccantoy, you got a PM...

Cal kid, i didnt know there was a special type of lug nut that i need, can i get these at any tire place? let me know.. and is there any name for that kind of lug nut?

ops... also forgot to tell ya... the lugnuts (stock ones) have whats left of the studs in them... the wheel is slanted, so the studs dont look lined up, once i get it off the trailor (probly tonight) i will post some pic sof the other wheels... on the gap..

I'd check with the tire shops, you basically would need a nut that has a thin wall collar that takes up some of the room between the stud and the hole in the wheel (of course it shouldn't be long enough to bottom out on the rotor).

It appears those wheels where setup for larger studs or the type of nut I mentioned above. Get it fixed soon, because I don't see how they will stay torqued in that condition.

He is so right. If you don't use the correct lugnuts you'll end up getting passed by your wheel going down the road (been there done that)
