Yay, it's about time right. I finally got some pictures ofmy newly made hood, (well, i guess it's more like modified, but o well.) If you want to check em out heres a link. http://www.angelfire.com/fl5/nff/hood.htm Let me know what you think. Ryan
P.S. I think SmoothGT may finally have met his challenge when it comes to fiberglassing. LOL

Yeah, I noticed the bottom does look a bit sloppy. But since the hood is for me, I don't mind that much. But if anyone decided they may want one. Let me know. I could probably do a whole one in 2/3 weeks. With a much cleaner job on the glassing.

Hey man, after seeing some of your work that does mean something. Hopefully I'll get some requests for some. Could use some extra per diem. Plus, with all the glassing I've been doing lately. I could probably open up my own shop. Next on the list. RX-7 fenders to go with my fascia,

I like the shape but am a little concerned about one thing. Did you grind back the areas you was glassing onto as it appears you have glassed straight over the black paint. If so it WILL de-laminate. It won't be a maybe it will just be a matter of time. Could be a good time to rethink that before you spend more money on it.
Yeah, we did make sure to sand down the area at least a foot from the scoops with 80 grit sand paper. Just towards the end we had some really big patches of fiberglass mat the went onto the smooth part.

OK everyone, measurments will be up soon. Just got home from working 4am - 8am at UPS, so first I need some sleep. As for what else I've been glassing. Me and the guy that helped me with the hood (here's your props Simon) are starting a busniess, catering mostly to the import croud, making aftermarket car parts. One of these is a headlight cover air scoop. Which is made entirely of fiberglass. Also I finally got a third gen RX-7 fender to go with my fascia that I'm going to be making a mold of to fix that area. Pixs of that can also be seen oin my web site, but just in the pictures section. And the last thing I've been glassing..... Is actually misc parts around the house. If something breaks, thats how I fix it, so far duct tape uses is now 2, while fiberglass = 2000
