Route: great! Weather: miserable.

In spite of two days of rain, everyone seemed to be having fun. Everyone kept their cars shiny side up and (mostly) pointed in the right direction.

A few photos:

God knows we need the rain, but why this weekend?

Big thanks to Ramon for organizing this event! Better weather next year, we hope.

I'm glad that Chuck took that picture. I had intended to, but didn't have the camera handy when I had the chance.

It's a pushrod 3.4. The intake manifold was a GM racing part from '89(?) The blue tubing is the fuel rail and the lines that feed the injectors. The injector harness is also wrapped in blue tubing.

Very impressive.

I *love* the hood vents on the maroon car. Is that a one-off job, I wonder?

I also liked the wild intake. What is the deal with the engine vent covers on the blue Caddy powered GT? I have never seen those before. Where do I get some of those at?

I'm damn sorry I missed it this year. I will be making plans to attend next years. On the other hand I am glad I didn't go, those are a lot of NICE Fieros. I wouldn't feel like mine was up to par.

I believe the tranny is a 4T60E.
It *is* bolted to a 4.9 Caddy.
It's run through the stock Fiero exhaust system.
It's quiet. Probably quieter than the V-6.
Can you say "sleeper"?

The car belongs to Chris Munson From Florida. He has the vents and the intake. The intake he said is 2k. He isn't sure if there are any more around or not. The vents he did himself I believe. Check with frank Martin on how to get in tough with Chris.
Lots of nice cars this year. One quick story: on the way up with the Fla. group I got into a race with a prowler. We were doing over a 100. Beat him, had a blast. RAydar Nice to meet you. and all the others I met. Had a great time

I think the green shiny thing is a wing. The square black thing is a trailer hitch carrier on a car farther back in the photo.

Kris Munson made all of those cool scoops on his burgundy GT. He told me that as soon as he is sure all the bugs are worked out he plans to offer them online. They looked great! Watch for them soon!

The engine vent cover on Ed William's 'Taz' car are one of a kind, his own design, and he will not make any more... But dang, they are nice!

Here is another pic of Kris Munson's car that I took. It shows the great work he did on these vents. They look even better in person.

Rob, my car didn't make any of the pictures inthis thread. I posted a few pics of it in another thread that I started. I'm going to make a page to put all of my RFTH pics so it won't make the forum so slow.

The yellow 4.9 GT belongs to Tom Corey. (Also his PFF name.)
He wrote, on another list, that it would light the tires from a standing start. Not sure about top end, but he didn't seem to have any complaints.
The 4.9 has small exhaust ports anyway, so I don't think the Fiero system would strangle it.
[Disclaimer] This is *not* the voice of experience, however.

Chuck took a poster of the Interstate Battery Nascar racer to Maaco, and said "Paint it this color."
He said that after it was done, he found out that the poster wasn't even the same green as the real racecar, but his paint matched the poster perfectly.
You should see it in person. It just glows.
