I have one of those on my Coupe, I did cut it down so you can only see about a 1/2 inch sticking out.

I had redneck keyless entry last night.. only because my keys were hanging in the ignition switch!

I had no luck trying to push the door lock tab with the bent coat hanger so I was finally able to bend it enough to get in behind the t-top handle and push it open. Then reach through the t-tops to unlock the car. Glad I didn't get those t-tops that actually had locks in them from Doug last week!

I had one of those on my '85. I had a removable "key," though.

EDIT: I was just explaining to my dad why (he just came over), and I though I should elaborate here:

Something inside the lock cylinder popped, so the key wouldn't open the trunk anymore. My mechanic said that this wasn't unusual with GM's. I had the lock drilled, and was in the process of getting a new cylinder set to my key when all mayhem broke loose with the '85. That's why (the mayhem, not the lock) I have a Formula now.
