225/40/18 Pirelli Pzero front on 18x7.5"-45mm 265/35/18 Pirelli Pzero rear on 18x8.5"-38mm
These are the same size tyre as fitted to the totally awesome F355 Ferrari, AND the 996 Porsche. Thus, lots of choices in rubber I really love the Pzeros though, stick like slicks. 2kmiles on them so far, no real signs of wear yet...
Oh, wheels are Konig 'Imagine' in Black Opal finish. Took ~$600 machine work to the rear hubs to get the right bolt circle btw (5x114.3mm, not avail in 5x100mm AFAIK.)
No coilovers (astonishingly) on this 88 Formula, and I ahve about 3/4" between tire and rear strut.
There is NO contact anywhere, except on the front at the very TOP of the wheel well liner, oops, car turns so hard now that it will bottom out the suspension, need stiffer springs! :P)
Incase there's any doubt; I love how it handles, LOVE IT! ) )
Ok, I'll stop now. Really just establishing this as a reference for me to point others to when they ask about wheels :P)
Best! Ben.

2 more to add perspective; Here's the width! (again, all stock 88, just poly and cut springs.)
Look how the front tucks in, it actually fits! (yay!)
Best! Ben

Hey Ben...The wheel and tire combo looks fantanstic on your car!!! I don't know if it me or not, but it gives the illusion the car is smaller that it really is.
If you plan on taking the car to the track again (before you get stiffer front springs), you might want to measure the air space between coils on front springs. Then check with a couple hot rod shops to see if they have any dense rubber coil spring spacers (they look like little dog bones). Cheap, but may be very effective.

It's not just you...I thought the same thing. But the car looks AWESOME, Ben! You've hit on the right combination...

So you've got regular 5x100 bolt pattern wheels up front. 18x7.5 front?
18x8.5 rear, but with the larger bolt circle. Can you give us more detail on the conversion? I'd almost rather get 18x7.5 wheels in the 5x100 bolt pattern and have them widened. Konig really needs to make the 18x8.5 in the Fiero bolt pattern!
Awesome as always, Ben. I never get tired of looking at those wheels on a Fiero!

Wheels from TRiAD Motorsports, HIGHLY recomended! ;0)
No shots of the front/rear yet, I'll try to take some this weekend. PS: the car's proportions do look funny, I think it's partially due to the video camera's poor quality lense. Some of it is the wheels, they're decent size, but it's more just an 'exotic' effect in person.
Best! Ben.

I did a thing very similar (but a bit simpler, and much STRONGer as I used a pres-fit instead of cap-screws.) to what was done HERE:
<can't find the stupid link, guy named Michael who did the boxster wheel swap.)
It's only $600 inc materials to the machine shop, probally cheaper (mine was a rush job too, long story.)
DO NOT ever get wheels widened, the welding weakens the aluminum. I've seen the results of a widened wheel... after it exploded... not pretty.
Best! Ben.

Hey Eric, the car pictured will *definately* be there, and I may even bring silver if she's finished (though that's not looking too likely, don't want to rush it
Thanks for the link Bryce, that's the stuff!
I'll post actual pics of mine soon, no, really (still no problems, the parts have pretty much passed muster imo after that roadrace.)
Best! Ben.
