There are more than enough people on this forum that have helped me with problems. Oreif has helped me many times (I think I have lost count), NIFE[PAULV], Dave Gunsul, 1FST2M6, and many more. I have yet to come across a Fiero owner that is a D1CK. Tonight PaulV helped me fix my headlamp motor problems and helped fix the front corner of my frame that was dented. I buy lots of stuff from PaulV and even my last 2 Fiero's. PaulV is a great guy (along with many others). Sorry for the post about this, I was just happy that my car is coming together (the new bumper goes on tomorrow). Plus this is a thank you to all of you on the forum that have helped me in the past.

Most Fiero owners I've met are comfortable with themselves. By this I mean, they don't feel the need to go out and build a 10 second car with huge slicks and big monster tachs, to make themselves look more manly. They actually LIKE fiero's and thats it. They don't do it for an image, or to fit into a car "group". They do it because they are fun cars to drive and think they look nice.
Because they aren't trying to create some type of masculine image, they have no problem being helpful to people and showing some generosity.
Also, Fiero's are somewhat rare. Alot of people, (myself included) believe that by spreading the knowledge and helping people learn more about their car, they can help keep them on the road.
Just my 2 cents. I may be blowing hot air but when I look at a gearhead that likes fieros and a gearhead that doesn't, I see a difference in their "aura" or "persona" or whatever you call it. I can't tell what it is but it is there.

I agree 100%! I have yet to meet a Fiero owner who wasn't really nice. Everyone I've come across has been helpful in everyway. Heck, what other car community can you drive to hours and hours away, have a great day with about 40 other fanatics, get help to fix a collapsed lifter in an amazing garage with more knowledge than Nasa, and let you spend the night at their house? This is a very brief description of my adventure to PA. The Gilberts were more hospitable than I think my neighbors would be and I had come over as a complete stranger. I was welcomed with open doors, and treated with respect and offered conveinience in every manner. Thanks once again for that weekend you guys.
Another trip to NJ, to pick up a set of wheels. Met up with Mr Joe Torma who helped me swap the wheels (that I had purchased) and invited me to share the day browsing projects and swappin Fiero info. Even let me check out his vinal cutter and take home some free samples.. Great time.
This Forum. ANY time theres even the slightest doubt of a problem to major repairs, you guys are here to offer whatever assistance you can. This applies not only to my personal expieriece but everyone else here.. Also the reason your still reading this.
I too believe we are among one of the greatest communities. Lets keep that alive and spread the respect for one another. It feels so great to be part of such a special and unique car family.

<puts down the N* block> what? You mean we DON'T have to build insanely fast cars with a 10krpm tach?
Oh, futz, there goes my reputation!
Yeah, I dig you guys too!
Best! Ben.

This Forum doesn't take too kindly to BS and people here make it known.
The cross section of this forum spreads across the spectrum thru all walks of life. And I think we all keep each other in check because we all need each other. From the Technical to the O/T; we have something to learn from each other.
PS
I need help on how to create a sig and post pics. PM's would be nice...

I think he was really a 1986 Honda Civic owner . LOL.
I just get to feeling better about my car when I either come to the forum or talk to peole I know about Fiero's. There are a lot of people I left out of that list like ferrari_momo, cliff, and a bunch more, but it would have taken forever if I sat down and named everyone.

if you have the patience to put up with fiero problems, and get under on to pound the dents out of the bottom where the previous owner drove over top stuff, then your probably going to be a nice person, cause if your able to work on one without cussing out everything around you, then your good by my book

I can think of a few reasons why. I like to think it's because Fiero means Proud and we tend to be a proud bunch some times a bit to proud but it all comes out in the wash also our fieros are probably the most bastardized car since the edsel(sp) but in reality if I went to a yard to look for an edsel I probably would get much less flack then if I said I was looking for a fiero. This sort attitude helps bind the fiero comunity in support for one another.
Ya know....I don't think its fair to say that all fiero owners are good people. I don't consider someone a good person, if they go around bashing others over nonsense....Okay sorry.....I'm frustrated with this forum and the immature people on it! (No offence to some of the more grown up people)

We do have some inmature people on the forum that could use some growing up, but other than that, this is a great place and I could see no reason for leaving, warts and all.

Even the biggest a-holes on this forum can't compare to a-holes on other forums. If you get fed up with somebody here, just go to some other forum for a few minutes, any forum. When you come back you'll see that people here are actually fairly nice.
In my perpspective, we as Fiero owners all share a common love for our cars. There are many people that have negative attitudes about Fieros for there own stupid reasons , and most of us feel the need to back each other when it comes to our little Pontiac.
The Fiero has had a bad rep for certain reasons that we all know about, although as owners we know that these issues are no diferent than that of many other automobiles that are around.
We bring our Fieros to shows, meetings, and get-togethers to serve one common purpose: Show our love and pride of these cars.
Like any club, there are going to be people that feel they are better or more worthy of owning their car, but for the most part we as Fiero owners know that it is important to unite and look at each other as equal in that we all appreciate and like the type of automobile that we drive!
"I LOVE you man."

Yeah we all seem to be a pretty good bunch, I know a few who suck, but they don't even like their fiero but still drive it.. odd if you ask me, that's only 1 person here back home though. Let's hope he's not smart enough to find this board
