Oh, here's my friend's 1967 mustang... that they also stole... and also videotaped... then returned unharmed... We have installed a 351W bored to a 357cid, T5 5-speed manual tranny (with custom hydraulic clutch actuation) with a fabricated front cross member to accept our rack&pinion steering swap (so it's an old car that almost handles he's 5sec off my car's time. With ~375bhp. http://www.cartsys.com/fiero/mustang.mpg

I got about 8 megs of it... Hey Artherd, where do you suppose these people that stole your car mounted the camera, and how? I was thinking of leaving my car around for someone to steal and do this, and I wouldn't want them to have their camera fall off or damage my car in some way.
Hrm, If I wanted to strap a camera to a car I stole, I would probally take an old tripod, bolt it to a 1" slab of MDF (wood) and then bolt 4 straps onto that same wood. Then I would make clamps that attached to various parts of the car, and I would snug them all down, and go!
PS: restarted the server, seems it was acting funny for some of you. There are already 43 people on right now...
Best! Ben

Heh, I would guess, that the car is spending most of it's time between about 55 and 70mph through there. with a burst at the end to around 90- (top of 3rd gear.) Not that the theif told me...

I started my downloading of the Fiero at work where we have cable. Im downloading the mustang here at home where it will most likely take all day to download. What I saw of the Fiero one was AWESOME!
I take it that the theif stole the metallic red one? What mods do you have on it?
I downloaded them both... cool videos. I've been thinking of some of the cool camera angles one could use- but I don't have a camera at the moment. So I'm just dreaming. Nice work
Unfortunately the camera I have now is an older heavy model (about 6lbs!!!) 3-ccd pickups though.
Thinking about getting a ConeCam, you can put those *anywhere!*

Cool video. I wish I could see how fast you were going though. Were you losing traction through the turns? Later tonight I will try to convert it to a .rm file and upload it to my server to accomodate for our 56k friends.
Earlier the... car thieves... shot a really nice view with the camera located on the decklid, looking through the rear window and windshield.
You can see the driver shifting, and can kind of read the tach.
Unfortunately, glare of the back window (the... car thieves... have since grabed a polorising filter for *THIS* lense prevented much useable footage... unless you like seeing where you've been.
See earlier post for speeds. I don't belive... they... droped below 45mph the entire run, and thay banged off 90+ towards the end straight.
This is all in the red car in my sig, no real mods to speak of (mobil 1 oil, k&n filters, the underdrive pully. Exhaust is STOCK except for a high-flow cat...) T-tops off so driver can hear the tyres squeeling (crank it up and listen... that's some good neutural drift!)
Best! Ben.

I think we'd need to reinforce the mount for your car
Let's get tossed off some dragstrips this summer for running under their Halon System/harness/rool-cage time limits

Cool video, Just hit full screen and pretend. I see the camera pull upwards a good way, and slam down when y- *AHEM*, The thieves, hit the brakes. I just dream about roads like that around here. For now its just exit and entrance ramps, but those are still fun. Make sure the thieves get a hold of the N*, leave the keys in the ignition or something.

They... ran a best of 1:23 with these worn dunlops, I'll toss on some Pirellis and see if They... can gain a few seconds!
PS: the two or three times you hear the engine revs jump... that's wheelspin... in second...

Good Job. I downloaded both in about 12 minutes with cable modem!
Couldn't help but notice the Fiero handled the road much quicker and smoother than the 'Stang, The Fiero sounds better too IMHO.
Reminds me of some roads we had back in southern Indiana. I miss being there. There is really no place good to drive like that out here in the East Coast. Too many damn people.
Cops are worse here as well.
