I also dropped in a K&N filter into the factory air cleaner can. I wanted to take the can out and replace it with a K&N tube and cone filter but understand it is a real PITA to get the factory can out, ie..taking off molding/panel between door jam and wheel well, etc, etc! Shoot!!!

Good find, may I ask how much the yard charged you as compared to E-bay prices?

Forum member SCCA-Fiero sold his on Ebay for $197.50. I found that amazing. So your find is worth some bucks. Here is the link for proof.

Well, if you read my post above it could be worth a lot. The second highest bidder was willing to go to $195 on that auction. I would go to the bid history of that auction and try to contact the next highest bidder. Who know, you might be able to sell it to one of the bidders. If not I would try to sell it on Ebay since things seem to go for more there.

I might have to put mine up for sale. I am kinda miffed I didn't keep the packaging for it however. I had it on my car for all of five minutes before deciding I didn't like the looks of it. It has been sitting on my bookshelf since. I wonder if someone would consider trading a working 2.8 for one? I wish....

Do you think that ANY of those people who are paying nearly $200 for these things are on this forum?

And if they are, do they know how insane they are?

I just couldn't justify that price to anyone!
