Since I haven't been able to do a full sized one yet, I guess the closest I'm gonna get to it for the time being is a model. Based upon the "artist renderings" posted, here's where I am so far...

If and when I finish the real thing, I'll post pic ASAP!!

Sweet! What material did you use to do that? I was thinking of doing the same thing (there we go again... thinkin' alike).

Funny though... it's the same color as your GT

Yeah, Rob...Re: the color; The car's been in primer so long, I'm unfortunately beginning to get used to it. Since 8/3/2001.

Anyway, I got the scoops from Revell's '99 Mustang Cobra, the front louvers from Testors' Ferrari GTO and the rest I'm fabricating from PLASTRUCT sheets. I'm so frustated waiting for the REAL scoops that I'm sincerely tempted to let the model satisfy my desire and finish the real car another way.

Patience is a virgin...

Yes he has built them. Yours will be shipped tomorrow Doni
Saves me emailing you now. Lets just say any future order you will get a huge discount.
Sorry about the severe wait but I didn't expect a brain tumour then a fire to set me back I will be glad to see your car painted Doni so I can get some pictures of it to put on my website.

Love the model.

Ebay... I believe it's a Monogram 86 or 87 Fiero GT model. Ask in the mall, someone there may have one to sell. But be warned- they usually sell for $35+

JIM,

If those things are ready to be shipped, I'll name my next child "Stage 2 Scoops Hagan" in honor of the man who made my day!!

I know the past year was, mildly speaking, a ***** ! I gripe, piss and moan but have nothing but respect for you and what you've accomplished.

Thanks, man. You'll not pay for a single drink in my presence when you come to the US!

Give my best wishes to "A".

Wow Doni.. Great Job...

Heres an update pic of my 1/10" Indy project.. I have about 10 more coats & a lot of sanding to do. (along with a ton of clearcoat )

After seeing how great your scoop looks, I think I'm going to try putting the strobelight in the Indy scoop... Maybe try to use some little amber LED's??

~EDIT~ I forgot the pics..

1/10th Scale? Where'd you get that car? Was it one of the R/C cars?

Yeah, HAZE...
In looking through my kit collection, the closest to the same look I could find was the Testors' kit...I hated chopping it up like that ($25-35 if you can find one) but I had 2 in the collection and there's some other stuff on the kit I'm using on the Fiero (tires, brake rotors, wipers, decals). The Sunbird louvers actually have less "ribs" than Pat Kal's louvers but I figured I'd go for continuity rather than realism.

I hope to display the kit with the real GT at meets....Honey, I Shrunk The Fiero!

Doni- at the Dells Run, they have a class specifically for Fiero Models (it's really pretty cool)! So you can have "your" car in 2 classes at once.

Rob....You're a mindreader!

I heard that the same guy has been winning in models for a while. Guess it's time for a little competition!
