Even though I despise George W, with the passage of his tax plan we all get rebates this year.
$300 for singles, $500 for single parents, and $600 for married couples.

We should all have our checks by September. I will be buying a kevlar clutch from Fierostore if my current one lasts until I get the check. If I have to replace it on my own before that, I will be calling Mr Mike for some leather seats when the check arrives.

What FIERO RELATED things will you all be doing with the extra cash?

I don't like Flowmasters.I had them on my Grand National, they weighed too much and rusted out in two years.I have 4 Supertrapps on my 70 Chevelle. You can adjust the backpressure and sound by adding or removing diffusers.

That will require the government to swiftly identify about 95 million eligible taxpayers, determine the size of their rebates, print the checks and send them.

Hey, I'll take a refund... no problem whatsoever. (Thanks for posting the link.)

Hmmm... I wonder what percentage of the American population does that 95 million work out to be?

They say 50% of americans dont pay any federal taxes at all, and the richest 1% pay 50% of all taxes. Thats total BS. I pay my dues, Im thinking some Mr. Mikes seats will suit me fine with my refund.

Woah, thats pretty cool! And actually, I probably missed that news because I was working on my car!

So, since I paid taxes last year (first time, filed single), I should be getting $300? That's alright by me!

Thats a good question as to what I would do with it, maybe save towards an engine swap.

Or Mr. Mikes..of course!

That $300 should be a good start towards paying for the other Fiero shows that I plan on traveling to this year (Wooster OH, Carlisle GM show, Williamsburg FOCOA show, maybe the Michigan show).

Of course, I still haven't received my refund from filing my tax forms in March...with my luck I'll be audited for writing off some of the college computer classes I took last year...

I'm not sure yet. I keep dreaming of all the cool Fiero stuff I want to get. I've got to deside what should be at the top of my list. This is fun.

always a few Doubting Thomas'

If you pay income tax, you'll get it. I'm sure Mr Bush will see to it that you do. Now that the democrats control congress again (thank you God), it's probably that last bit of his original agenda that will see the light of day.

Dude, I *work* for the government. I *know* they're full of sh*t. And if there's a loophole, it will always be there to screw those of us down here in the general populace.

I'll be very happy if you're right, but in order for you to be right, that means the government will have to do exactly what they say that they're going to do... and how often do politicians tell the truth?

It's vaporcash until the check goes into my checking account, as far as I'm concerned... cynical? Yes. Deservedly? Yes again.

I'm not even gonna worry about it.
I'm sure my Democrat Senator will find some group more worth of the cash than I am and redestribute it to them. Far be it from me to deprive some welfare case of my hard earned cash. Hey maybe it will go towards gov't funded sex changes! Then I will know it is going towards a really good cause.
But knowing my luck of late it will probably just get lost like the 450 million unaccounted for in the dept of Education or the billion unaccounted for that we sent to Haiti.
Am I jaded, cynical or just a little scarcastic. hmmmm maybe just a little.

I'm going to replace the $575 I had to take out of the bank in April to pay the IRS because of the Democrat-imposed "marriage penalty."

Maybe I'll buy some air horns for the Coupe with the leftover $25.

I feel like the little boy that never got picked to play on a team.

I'm not getting a tax refund just because my parents claimed me as a dependant on last years tax return. Now how much sense does that make? My parents claimed me... that benefits them... not me, so I am the one who has to pay for it? That makes a lot of sense... I'm getting screwed!

They should have given me the refund... and taken some off of theirs because they claimed me as a dependant!!! I am pissed!

Just for that... I am not going to pay my income tax this year!! J/K
