Ok so I have an 87 gt v6 all that good stuff but he has some strange electrical problems. Now I don't know if these are just fiero problems or general car problems. Anyways my memory wire to my radio (battery/constant 12 volt) it (used too) activate the passenger footwell light so I said f-it and left it alone and taped it up, some time later mabey like 3 months or so I go to check it again and it now activates the horn? how in the world does that work. Note* horn hasent work since I got it. Then when this happened the footwell light comes on when the door is close and goes off when open? How can this even happen. Also the temp gauge doesnt work it just stays stuck off the chart/scale whatever but I just left it alone then one day I'm just drivIng along and it just flopped down not sure if it was reading or not but it came down. It did this for a few days it would move around a little but not much but now it's stuck again? And cruise control doesn't work but I'm not so concerned about that but any solutions for no cruise control? So if you have ANY knowledge of what could be wrong with my little work in progress any and all help very much appreciated.

Sounds like a typical old Fiero....3 different issues at the same time.

#1. The ogre has info on this one....

#2. Temp Gauge. This one is legendary.....it sounds like you have a bad connection as well as this....

#3 Cruise control. Usually the diaphragm does not hold vacuum, or the vacuum lines are bad....a new diaphragm fixed mine.

First off thank you! The radio is the only thing if fixed so far and it was a bad BAT fuse and all that's working again so when it gets warm again here in Kansas since the weather can decide what it wants to do ill try to fix the other 2.

This is a long one, i just want to describe absolutey everything so it might help find put the problem. Ok so after I fixed the radio, the horn, and courtesy lights for some reason the trunk light and backlights to the speedometer, tach, fuel gauge, temp gauge, battery, and oil don't light up now? But when i turn on the running lights every thing else comes on like, the sidemarker lights taillights ect. Also the other lights still work like the seatbelt light, brake check engine light *note i don't have a check engine problem he runs great but has electrical problems* also the lights that says oil and volts. Just no backlights. And the dimmer dial thing when it goes all the way up it still turns on the coutesy lights and dome lights so i have no idea.
so I google some answers to this and find it it could be the radio I have, apparently after-market stereos draw a lot more power so that could do it or if I hook up a certain wire that goes to the dimmer switch but idk. I also tested all the fuses and even changed the ones that i could at the moment making sure that they were good. Nothing. So I find out another thing, the instrument pannel dimmer switch under the dash by the gas peddle, small black box thing with metal bracket thing, anyhow changed that, still nothing. Then I check the bulbs I take out the one from behind the speedometer and put it in the courtesy light spot and it turned on, not blown so can't be the lights. Then took off the headlight/running light switch and unplug the connector and I notice the is a clip missing one of the clips from the connector from the car. I'm nof sure if it's suppose to be like that or somebody took it out or what by looks fine.
There also is another light dimmer switch thing under the steering column don't know abou that yet I haven't checked him. But if you can help me with this craziness please help, its really frustrating when you fix one thing and another goes wrong. So any help is very appreciated. Also I have 2 repair manuals one is a chiltons and the Other is a Haynes so they could help. Oh and my bad about 2 threads.

The Chilton and the Haynes are going to be worthless for problems like this. The Chilton is pretty much worthless for anything.
I would disconnect any aftermarket wiring to try to get the car to act normal. A bad ground on the radio may be the problem.
