I'm doing a carb conversion for my 4.9 swap

I know that I need the 4.5 distributor but I do not know the exact model of guts I need for it.

I think it may be the distributor from the early 80's 4.1 but I need a distributor that operates without the ECM. and uses a vacuum advance.

Can anyone assist?

Thanks,

Arn

PS, no I do not want EFI. My car is already set up for a carb.

When I did mine I got the guts out of some random Pontiac V8 in the junkyard. Just make sure it's vacuum advance and that the distributor is on the opposite side of the camshaft than a traditional SBC.

Thanks to Bubbajoexx we have the answer.

It is a 4.5 distributor with the internals of a Pontiac V8 v8 301 350 400 or 455
