6 years ago I put the Rodney Dickman 3 piece dowel pin kits in each headlamp drive unit. Now the left one drops again. I tore it apart today and the dowels are like new and the plastic gear is OK. The shaft is turning in the 3 lobe diecast driven wheel. I drilled and put a 1/8 x 1 inch roll pin thru a large lobe, shaft, and opisite valley. Tommorow I will put it back together. If it is not a successfull repair or is short lived I will re-post. Comments are welcomed.

Almost a year ago I did the same repair you describe: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/120281.html

It's my daughter's car. She works at night so the headlights get used almost every day.
The headlights still work great.

Watch module...
Make sure module is shutting down power at end of motor travel.
If not and only shuts down when timer run out... module is bad.
