I may have the answer on the problem of the Getrag input shaft bearing/seal/sleeve not being available. I'll know for sure in maybe a few weeks. If this works out it will no longer be a problem. For the moment it looks encouraging.

That's good news. I recently had to buy an entire Getrag rebuild kit just to get the input shaft bearing/seal/sleeve assembly for a customer. What price range do you expect if this works out?

The supply of Getrag input shaft bearing/seal/sleeves is at this moment extremely limited to say the least. This is a very difficult part to reproduce. I'm fairly confident I will be successful with my solution. If someone does not come up with something soon the supply of useable Getrag 5 speeds will certainly diminish in the very near future. I do not want to see that happen. I have been looking at this for more than a few years now. I really want to come up with something that will work so we do not see a mass extinction of the Getrag 5 speeds. Once I have more info/samples I'll share more on this project.
