I gave this a decent look through the archives and did not find the issue nor a remedy..

When my steering wheel is turned as far as it can go on either of the locks, if you crank a little too hard the steering wheel "keeps" turning and unaligns itself with the column.. To correct it you must go all the way back to the other lock and equally turn the steering wheel against, and what feels like beyond, the lock

Is this an issue with the column or the rack? Does anyone else have this issue?

Two U joint in lower shaft
Two Bolt in lower shaft
Bushing in upper shaft
Some steering wheels can come loose.

Use big visegrip to lock different section for testing.
