As the title says for a 88 2.8l.

...and yes I know I could just ask for the part and the parts counter, but I have this massive Viton o-ring kit and I am sure that I have the correct size. I suppose I could just size it once I have the distributor pulled, but just was thinking just in case I don't have that size...know what I mean.

Thanks,
Tim

Can't help you with the size - you've probably figured that out by now anyway.

For those wanting the viton (tan) distributor o-rings -

GM# 10477565

Felpro# 704841
https://napaonline.com/Cata...FPG704841_0147478726

Dorman kit - PN 90441

Napa kit PN 655-1294
Canadian kit has only 2 viton o-rings in Napa packaging

Rodney has the best o-ring out there at the best price. Unless you wanna pay 15$ at GM...

This is a must replace item with something good. You really don't want to deal with an oil "puddle" under the distributor.

True. The other numbers make it easier to find the viton o-ring locally.

Get the SBC distributor gasket to go on the base of the distributor along with the O-Ring. It will never leak again.

They were about $3 each last time I bought one, maybe a year ago. Well worth the peace of mind. They fit the 4 cylinder distributor perfectly, too.
