Its an 85 duke and when i start the car it idles a little over 2000 till about 5 or so minutes and then the idle begins to come down when it warms up. once warmed up it is fine and idles around 1000. i have replaced the coolant temp sensor and the idle air control. Any ideas?

Yes when it's cold.

It should idle down to 900 - 1000 RPM warm.

Are you sure? My '84 duke certainly doesn't do that.

Although the '87 and '88 dukes are a bit different than the earlier models, might be some relevant info for the OP Here.
