Hello, Im in the final stages of my 3800sc swap and I just need a few last minute parts I need to buy. I'm just wondering the sizes on these parts and I cant find any articles on this. Thank you for any info y'all have.

Acc. belt. - Alternator in stock location, A/C still there - part number?

Oil Pan gasket - part number?

Hoses - part numbers?

Best kind of oil to use?

K&N air filter - I'm doing a 3.5 intake - Is there a better size filter to use? or does it not really matter? cause a use are 3.5 but the length is different

Spark plugs - Is there any special ones I should use for performance or does it not really matter?

I know I'm forgetting some things but that will be good enough to start out with. lol

Belt I use is 83.5" If you changed the tensioner pulley to a ribbed to route the belt.

Hoses if the Fiero was a V6 originally were Dayco E71030 and E71082

Oil pan gasket the store can find, I never saved a part number

The K&N works fine, it is a tight fit depending on the angle of your intake.

Spark plugs, get AC103 or Autolites standard cheap plugs, Platnums I have never had luck with.

Are those okay to use if my motor is still completely stock? I plan on making the pulley go down to a 3.4 in the future but right now its just exhaust and a cold air intake

Mike - I haven't changed the pulleys in any way, does that affect anything?

Yes, my car had a 2.8

Are the standard plugs the copper ones? and whats the difference between 103 and 104? I know it specifies the temperature but I read that the 103's are more for racing, is this true?

They are a bit cooler, but been running them on my stock engine for years.

If you didnt change tensioner pulleys how are you routing your belt ?

Yup, you will need to change your tensioner pulley to a ribbed and route it like in the diagram I posted.

also, do I just buy a regular oil filter for a 3800sc or do I need a special one for the fitment issue? I have a 2001 regal GS motor and I think it already has the right adapter on it.

Base on the drawing the water pump also require a ribbed pulley? Is there a part number for that?

Watter pump rides the back of the belt and keeps the stock pulley.

LOL, i dont recall which is which, but one goes from the T-stat housing to the left coolant tube, and the othe from the water pump to the right coolant tube. Will be obvious which is which when you have them.

After looking at the pics in the links I would say the 1082 is the T-stat side, and 1030 is the waterpump side, but hard to tell by the pics.
